Outside The Lines

Hello Weekend TJ'ers! It's Kathie McGuire here on your papercrafting Saturday to share a technique from 12/09 called Coloring Outside The Lines. I morphed it a tad by coloring in my image, but the COTL technique is something that I love to add. To me, it makes my image a bit more complete without the interference of a busy background. It always reminds me of a little "glow" around my image. I like it!

This card and gift box set was made for a friend who lost a dear little furry friend just recently. She adored this dog, so I thought this would help ease a bit of the pain of the death of her companion. Although the gift box doesn't have a TJ technique, I thought you might enjoy seeing the whole project. My friend told me that she put her dog's collar in the box and has it on her desk along with the card. I think papercrafting is one of most wonderful ways to give a personalized gift to someone in need of a little cheer, don't you? And TJ techniques have helped me in so many ways to make my projects more special.

The image is colored with Prisma colored pencils and blended with Gamsol.

Thanks for looking; I hope you've enjoyed the project.

Kathie
