Hetty's Embellished Circles

A wonderful technique in the new newsletter is
embellished circles
It is a little like the millefiori technique from the last
newsletter (and I like that one too).
I love how the stamping and the embellishments
come together in this technique.

On the first card you see the technique used as it is
explained in the tutorial.
On the 2nd card you see the technique combined
with a picture that was first stamped and masked.
Then the circles were added and a bit of glimmermist.
This way it has a more grungy look.

Used stamps are from Stampin'Up! and Steampunk.

Have a creative day!

Try That Technique: Embossed Wash

Welcome to the Design Junkies blog for Try That Technique. This is Beth Norman with the challenge of the week, selected by Diana Enns and myself. Every Thursday we post our cards, and ask you to join in on the fun.

This week we are challenging you to use the Dry Embossed Wash technique, which is in the 12/07 issue and it is a bonus technique in the Emboss or Die CD.

Isn't my Sweet and Sassy Stamps image just darling.

Here is a close up. Doesn't the Dry
Embossed Wash technique, behind the Sweet and Sassy Stamps image, look just like the paper from Mark's Finest Papers? Cool, eh?

Each week we select a winner who plays along with us. How do you win? Just submit a card to our Yahoo group using the technique of the week. Cut off is 12 noon EST.

This week's winner used the Scored Diamonds technique last week. Congratulations Mary Wise. You are this week's winner. Your card is now on our home page.

**Please note, Try That Technique will take a break in June, July and August. I will randomly post a TTT during that time, so look closely for the announcements. Enjoy the nice weather.***
