A Copic Marker Fairy by Judy Jackson

We recently returned from a 12 day vacation and had a great time in three different venues!  We attended a destination wedding in Killington, Vermont, spent a couple of days in Schenectady, NY visiting with many friends as we used to live there for over 20+ years, and finally we visited some cousins as we attended a Jackson Family Reunion in Canada.  My cousin, Doris, and I shopped at Heather's Stamp Haven in Nepean, Ontario.  She had a beautiful card on display using this stamp from Whimsy Stamps but the stamp itself was not there.  One of my granddaughters turns seven today.  She cannot decide if she likes "fairies" or "princesses" the best.  When I saw this fairy stamp I knew she would love it.  However, no fairy stamp in stock!  Other fairy stamps but not this one.

So what does a good stamper do?  I got back to Doris's house and promptly ordered this stamp.  It arrived on Wednesday!  Yahoo!  Plenty of time to create a special birthday card for my little granddaughter -- who is not so little any more!  The stamps I ordered arrived at my house on Wednesday and I was able to create this card for my precious granddaughter.

I used a butterfly stencil with swirls on the background and used three different colors of ink and sponged the inks over the stencil.  I used another stencil with two different shades of green to create the grass.  I colored the Fairy and her wings with Copic markers. The wings were created with card stock vellum.  I spritzed glimmer spray over all and added some clear shimmery Smooch paint over the wings and parts of her dress. I used my heat tool to dry it all.

Happy birthday Charity!

Have a wonderful day --

Judy Jackson
