Picture Perfect

Good Mornin' Ladies:

Nancy Dawson here to share with you a great technique to dress up those special photos! It is called Picture Perfect and it adds so much to your photo. I hope everyone is enjoying all this snow we're getting. I thought it was supposed to be Spring but seems it has missed us again. This technique was featured in the December 2011/January 2012 Technique Junkies Newsletter.

This is my son and his beautiful family I made into a refrigerator magnet. Now you have a super opportunity to stamp and scrap so come let's play!

Have a great day!

In The Middle Technique

From the new Simple and Easy Inking Techniques Remix CD

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. It's nice to be back with a simple yet effective technique for you. This card uses an Art Neko stamp as the focal image and a Club Stamp sentiment. This is a card that can be made in a flash when needed for a last minute birthday card or any other occasion that requires a card in a hurry. I have seen many of these cards on TJ yahoo group made by members and have liked every one of them.
Give it a try won't you?
See you back in two weeks or perhaps sooner with a Technique of the Week!

Block Fill

Hello, Beth Norman here with the Block Fill technique which you will find in the December 2012 issue.  It is such a fun and easy technique.  If you love colouring then this is definitely the technique to try.  Watching the TJ Yahoo group, this technique is proving to be a very popular one.

My house mouse is pretty relaxed, just like I was when I was colouring.  Sentiment is from SU.

Have a great day.

Textured Paint Technique by Judy Jackson

Snow on the trees in March. For many of us that seems silly, but for lots of other places it is a last vestige of winter holding on.  This technique is from the current newsletter.   Can you see the three deer peeking through the trees? The clouds are made from a template I made from a sheet of scrap acetate.  I used a black magic marker and drew "cloud bumps" not too close together. And I cut them out. Now I lay my cloud template down on card stock and sponge the edge creating either a cloudy sky, storm clouds, sunset, or sun rise - whatever I want my sky to look like. choose appropriate colors and there you go. The trees were die cut and then sponged in several shades of green and a bit of brown. After the trees were almost dry, I sponged on some white paint.

I know there are some people who cannot get enough of winter and snow -- but I am done with it, please!  Spring cannot come quickly enough for me!

Inky Bands

This technique is from the newest CD: Simple and Easy Inking Techniques Remix.

This is a fabulous CD for newbies to TJ that want a good sampling of techniques or just want to give Technique Junkies a try. Good News! It is only $9.95 and you can get it here.
The Inky Bands technique is so easy and a lot of fun. I think it is a very good technique to highlight your favorite stamps, and these are some of my favorites.I just LOVE Asian themed stamps and there is no better place to shop for them than at Art Neko!!! You can drool over all of their stamps here: Art Neko is ALWAYS my first stop for Asian stamps.
There is nothing better than using your favorite Technique Junkie technique along with your favorite stamps!
Thank for stopping by. I will be back in 2 weeks with another technique from this CD. I venture to guess I will be using another Asian stamp from Art Neko, LOL!

Holly Brown: Banner Boot Puppies

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today and I've got a cute card to share with y'all.  I used the Banner technique from the latest issue (February/March 2013).  I used some country-ish papers with this adorable stamp of cute puppies and cowboy boots.  This stamp is from About Art Accents/Art Neko, one of our Technique Junkies vendors.  They don't just carry Asian-themed stamps; they have tons of country stamps and beautiful floral stamps.  You can check them out at http://www.artneko.com - have fun!!
