Aged Tiles and Technique Junkie Stamps by Judy Jackson

There are certain images that just lend themselves to the Aged Tiles technique from April/May 2008.  Lots of images will look just fine using this technique but vintage  images just add a different dimension and the technique enhances the vintage look of the stamp.

I have three cards for you today -- and in all cases all of the stamps are Technique Junkie stamps.

I used a variety of embellishments.  All of the stamps were inked with a dark brown dye based ink and stamped on glossy card stock.  I used a brayer to ink the stamped image and I brayered in both directions to ensure full ink coverage of all the fine lines in a photo stamp. I used a light touch with chalks to add some light color here and there. The background on the Christmas card uses the Antique Glimmers technique from December 2009/January 2010.

The Praying Child (page 8) and the Young Girl (page 17) can be located in the Big Stamps section on the TJ Stamps web site.  Father Christmas is in the Holidays section.  The Merry Christmas stamp is in Simple Sentiments section on the Technique Junkies Stamps website - http://www.stampcamp.com/index.html  .

I hope you will come back soon -- the August/September newsletter will be live tomorrow! The DT will be showing more cards soon.

Have a terrific stamping day!

Judy Jackson
