Tip for MISTI perfection
.Did you ever try to use a stamp and the same area doesn't ink well repeatedly? There may be a small manufacturing dip in the stamp. To stamp perfectly using the MISTI, simply place 2-3 pieces of cardstock under the cardstock being stamped. This adds a little shim and raises all the areas of the stamp, allowing the dip to be filled in,

Come shop, play and make some art - we would love to meet you!

You might have noticed that I love Art Anthology's Dimensional Paints and Colorations Sprays. It usually takes all my willpower to put them aside each week to use other mediums; this week I gave into my love for them and used them to paint and spray the Mermaid Tapestry stamp.

I love these stamps together:

This is a very easy and fast project. Simply stamp the image using StazOn on regular white card stock.

Note that you do NOT need to use StazOn ink specifically, you may use any permanent ink with great s to stamp with.

The images on the stamp were then colored with Art Anthology's Dimensional Paint. I used a combination of Velvets and Sorbets, and made sure that the paints were completely dry before sprayinng with Colorations. The paints air dry very quickly, but a heat tool may also be used to dry them.

Once dry, the piece was sprayed with Peacock Feather Colorations to fill in the areas that I did not paint, and to tint the black areas with color, After spraying, I placed a paper towel over the paper and removed the excess paint, then allowed it to dry. Once dry, I trimmed off the excess paper. and finished the piece with the sentiment and embellishments:

I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week!
