Pretty Gift Bag with Dogwood Blossoms

Hello Junkies,
How is your week going?   Karen here today to share a pretty little gift bag.   While waiting for the planting season to begin here in Michigan, I have been having fun with the new May Release stamps from Technique Junkies.  I made a pretty gift bag using the Dogwood Branch stamp.  I used spray inks to color the bag, the lace, and twill tape.

Materials List:
Stamp: Dogwood Branch from Technique Junkies
Ink: Regal Rose and Real Red Stampin' Up
CS: white and pale green textured
Spray Ink: Lilac Posies Memento
Twill Tape - Natural
White Paper Doily
White Gift Bag size 5" wide x 8" high
Lace - White
Tulle
Glitter Glue
Hole Punch

Make it:

  • Spray the bag, twill tape, and lace with spray ink; let dry
Tip: Spray the items on a large sheet of packing paper- white or kraft.  (I always save these papers when I open up packages)  The over spray will make a nice pattern on the paper.  The paper can be used for backgrounds in other projects when cut to size.  I always do this and am so surprised how good the paper looks.
  • Glue the paper doily to the bag
  • Cut a tag from pale green CS; punch hole in end
  • Glue a piece of the lace to the long edge of the tag

  • Ink the Dogwood Branch with Regal Rose and dot red ink on the centers of each blossom; stamp on White CS.  Stamp another image for layering
  • Cut apart the blossoms
  • Add to the green tag and add a second layer to two of the blossoms
  • Tie twill tape and tulle through hole on tag
  • Add tag to bag

  • Place a few drops of glitter glue on finger and rub onto the tag- wash hands- LOL
  • Put glitter glue in the centers of each blossom

  • Glue a piece of the lace to the upper right corner of bag
  • Tie tulle and twill tape in bow and glue over the lace

The dogwood blossoms add such a pretty touch to this little gift bag.  I can fill this little bag with goodies and give to someone special for a birthday, graduation, or bridal shower.  And, the bag could also be used to hold cards or supplies.
Thanks for stopping by today.  You can check out all the Technique Junkies stamps here.  See you next time
