TJ Inksiprations: Multi-Coloring with the MISTI

Today's tutorial is fast and easy. As you may have guessed by now, the MISTI is one of my favorite tools, and I am always playing with ways to use it. This is just one of those many ways.

The stamps I am using today are all from the January 2017 Release. Remember that all of the January New Release stamps are 15% off through midnight on January 9th. Make sure you take care of the discount before it's gone!
The MISTI is great for adding multiple colors to one image:
To start, I placed the Love Script stamp in the MISTI and stamped the image with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

Keeping the paper in place (and tacked down with the magnets, I lifted the hinged top and added a darker ink (Aged Mahogany Distress Ink) to the outer edges of the stamp.

Then the image was stamped again, over the first, adding the color to the edges of the image.

To create the bottles and sentiment, the images were placed in the MISTI and stamped with Aged Mahogany and Worn Lipstick inks. The selected areas of the images were highlighted with ink and markers and restamped:

What a fun little project. I like how you created the background. My friends recently received a Misti...I must tell them about your background stamping technique.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving the sweet comments! I am happily your newest follower. :)
