This month's challenge is Tie Dye Circles.
You can see the original tutorial for this technique HERE
I used watercolor paper and sponged some circles with Picked Raspberry Distress ink.
I chose two other ink colors and sponged a circle inside my large my circles, first with Festive Berries and then Seedless Preserves in the center.
Starting with the outside ring I wet the circles with water and a paintbrush going around the circles to remove some ink. If you get too much water on your paper you can blot some off with a paper towel. If you touch wet to wet paint during this step the colors will do some fun bleeding together. No right or wrong way here... I did mine so the wet areas did not touch.
I watercolored the flower stamp with the same ink colors as my background and added a little washy paint background. Once it was completely dry I restamped with the MISTI for a clean sharp image.
This is one of my favorite MISTI tricks.
I splattered a little Seedless Preserves ink (mixed with water) on my background. I trimmed my image to size and assembled my card.
I finished by adding a border to both panels with a fine black pen.
