Cardmaking Inspiration | Patience Tested
Today I am pleased to present some cardmaking inspiration for you featuring the "Patience Tested" sentiment stamp from the August 2021 New Release.
I found scraps of the most colorful inked and sprayed backgrounds I could find. In fact, I didn't have to create any new backgrounds at all... I simply rummaged through my scraps to find the most colorful pieces I had. Then, I stamped "Beautiful Strength" several times on the scraps and also on plain white cardstock.
To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment below the woman and rubbed some glitter here and there (fun fact - I do this to get sticky glue off my fingers)! For a final touch, I added a metal embellishment onto her head scarf and mounted everything on an inked background I had in my scrap pile.

Amazing Ability
I love this encouraging sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments set from Technique Junkies. It's perfect with the new Lighthouse on Cliff stamp. I stamped both with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and let them dry completely. Then I brushed on some blue ink, taking care to keep the darker areas of ink on the edges of the card. The Colorful Blending Brushes from Technique Junkies are perfect for brushing ink onto the edges of your card like this or applying ink through a stencil.

Gel Print Mandala Trio
Good morning, friends! I thought I'd pop in and share some cards I made for Technique Junkies. This new Autumn Floral Mandala stamp is gorgeous, and I wanted to showcase it by using some gel prints from my stash. I picked some prints that had touches of gold paint and warm colors for that rich autumnal feeling. I stamped the Autumn Floral Mandala with a black pigment ink and covered it with clear embossing powder. After I melted the powder with a heat tool, I cut the panels down and adhered them to black card bases.
These are just so gorgeous, I didn't want to cover them up with a sentiment. I will stamp a birthday or thinking of you sentiment on the inside if I can ever part with these. You can see the close ups below.
Feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% when you shop at Technique Junkies. You can pick up this Autumn Floral Mandala as well as hundreds of other stamps. You can also stock up on Distress Oxide ink pads, stencils, and Shimmering Bliss sprays. Enjoy!

Leopard...
Hello creative friends!
It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have 5 cards to share today, using a fun new release stamp set, #SS135 Leopard, from Technique Junkies.
Here's my first card:
The image and sentiments were stamped onto white cardstock with a cinnamon colored ink, and the panel was adhered to a matching card base. Easy, sassy, and fun!
So, sometimes, I feel like growling at something someone. I'm pretty sure you 'get it'.
Here is the perfect card for those growly days. Stamped exactly as the card above, but an Ink Blending Brush was used to change the appearance a bit, and used another fun sentiment from the August release, #SDX189 Patience Tested. Totally fun card, right?
But wait! There's more! Look at how CUTE and sassy this is when different colors are used!
And what fun is this? Except for the fact that I know that the sentiment was going elsewhere, but 'dropped and stuck' where it landed...so that's where it stays! This sweet little gal is from the set #SD859 You've Got This.
But my favorite is this one! I. Can't. Even. My sweet mother would have LOVED to be the owner of a red and green leopard print sweater for the holidays! I can only imagine the fun bling that she would use to accompany her non-boring (but oh, so gaudy) sweater!!!
The sentiment at the top of the card comes with the Leopard set. The two at the bottom of the card are from #SS01b Simple Sentiments Set 1, Style b.
What a fun release to work with!
These were all fun to create, and I've so enjoyed this release!
So glad you stopped by today!
Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible release!
Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Lighthouse on a Cliff
Hello! Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here today to share the beautiful Lighthouse on Cliff (#S939) stamp from Technique Junkies which is part of the August 2021 New Release from Technique Junkies. I also used a sentiment from the 6 sentiment stamp set: Lighthouse Sentiments (#SS136). You can save 10% on your order by using my coupon code at checkout: TJ10Tracy
My first card was created with Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss Spray. I sprayed it on a card panel, sealed it with hairspray, let it air dry and stamped the Lighthouse on Cliff stamp directly on top of the sprayed panel. I used the "I'd Be Lost Without You" sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments stamp set. This I layered on top of a piece of mirrored card stock. The stamped panel I layered on top of a mat made with Mirror Holographic Cardstock.
For my third card, I used masking paper and an ink dauber with yellow ink to create a light beam. I removed the masking paper and stamped the Lighthouse on Cliff stamp. I used an ink dauber and the Cloud Edger stencil to create clouds. I used gray inks to create these clouds. I colored the stamped image with colored pencils. I used a sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments stamp set. I used the Deckle Edge trimmer to trim the sentiment and ink blended the edges with blue ink. I layered this on top of mirror holographic cardstock. I then layered the panel onto of a piece of mirror holographic cardstock cut with a stitched rectangle die.
I created a video tutorial demonstrating how I made these cards. Please click on the picture below to view the video: https://youtu.be/2Dj-KAHYnJg

Kiss my Ace
Hello friends! I've been having lots of fun with my GelliPlate. I get together with my girlfriend and we play all day. I am particularly pleased with the look of Tennis Racquet Patent and Tennis Sentiments, set of 3. I hear time and time again how stampers love Technique Junkies sarcastic and punny stamps. I do too.
The shape of my yellow background works perfectly with Tennis Racquet Patent, don't you think?

Shimmering Enough
This card is great for those of us who overdo. Those of us who can't say no. The background of this Enough card uses the Open Rings Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs that was sprayed with Vivid Volt Shimmering Bliss. You can't tell in the picture, but this is shimmery, too! Pat Huntoon

Life's Blessings
We never know how long we have in this world - our health, our well being is not guaranteed. This is just a reminder to be thankful every day for what we are given. The front panel of this card uses distress oxides to shade; the back panel uses the faded honeycomb stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with Antique Linen blended ink.

Foiled Leopard
We came out with this Leopard Set in August, and I have this gorgeous Leopard Print foil in the TJ collection - what a perfect pairing! To make this, I simply added adhesive all over my card stock, then CAREFULLY added the foil over the top. It's an unusual treatment for foil, but WHY NOT?
The first rule in stamping is that there are no rules...
