Flip Flops - The Glass Slipper

Deb here with another beachy card from the latest Techniques Junkies Release . I used the Glass Slipper stamp set to create this quick and easy card . The papers are from the Park Lane "Summer Resort" paper pad. They were so perfect for this release !!

  • For  my mini slimline card, I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock into a 6 inch square, then folded it in half.
  • I cut a piece of the wave design paper from Summer Resort and adhered it to the Kraft base .
  • The Flip Flop Background was stamped on a piece of sunburst patterned paper also from the Summer Resort paper pad and then 2 of the flip flops were fussy-cut.
  • I stamped  the Glass Slipper image on the bottom right of the wave patterned paper.
  • The flip flops were  adhered to the bottom left of the card base, next to the sentiment.
  • Turquoise rhinestones were placed one each flip flop and also in the middle of the O .

I hope you like the fun card I brought to you today !! It was very quick and easy with just a bit of fuss-cutting .. I will be sending it to a friend who loves the beach . Take some time to pamper yourself and do some shopping over at Technique Junkies . Be sure to use my code - TJ10Deb - to save 10% on your purchases, Thanks for stopping by ..

Watercolor Hummingbird

Wednesday - June 26, 2024

Watercolor Hummingbird

Hello Junkies!

Any hummingbird lovers out there?  I love everything about hummingbirds.  Who doesn’t, right? And did you know there are approximately 366 species of these tiny little wonders?

Today, in celebration of these tiny feathery jewels, I’m sharing a card made using the watercolor hummingbird stamp, a circle punch or circle die, embossing folder and some card stock.

Supplies:
Lavender and yellow card stock
Embossing folder of your choice
Black or Clear embossing powder
Distress oxide sprays or you could use a faux watercolor designer paper
Glue & scrap piece of ribbon
Black ink pad
Heat tool
Optional enamel embellishments
Tape

Step 1: Create multi-colored background. I used distress oxide sprays, spritzed with water, and changed colors. I used a heat tool to dry the ink after each spray and spritz. Be sure this is completely dry before you continue adding colors.

Step 2: Stamp the hummingbird with black ink, sprinkle on black or clear embossing powder (either one works) then heat set.  Cut out or punch this out in a large circle. See card.

Step 3: While you have your ink out, Stamp your birthday sentiment on a piece of yellow card stock (5.5 x 1 inch or size needed for your sentiment) set it aside.

Step 4: Cut a piece of lavender card stock approximately 5.25 x 4.  Use a light tack tape and tape your circle onto the lavender and put both in your embossing folder and run them through your device (Big Shot, Cuttlebug, Gemini, etc…).  Note: You aren’t permanently attaching the circle.

Step 5: Let’s put this together.
- Make a small hole at the top of your circle, loop ribbon through, then attach ribbon to the back of the lavender piece with tape.  You only need the ribbon long enough to hang a short distance down onto your card. see photo.
-Add glue to the back of the lavender and center on the yellow base.
-Add glue and attach your sentiment.
-Add enamel dots or gems.

I hope you’ll get out your sprays, embossing folders, punches and stamps and give this one a try.

Happy Crafting!    ~AJ~

Sandy Shoes

Hello!  (Chris here)

One of my favorite techniques it to color on kraft card stock with prismacolor colored pencils.  I feel like the pencils almost glow on the darker card stock colors.   In this case... the brown was even more appropriate because it gave the card a sandy background to go with the sentiment.  I love when things come together like that!   I hope you give this a technique a try.

Red, White, and Blue Happy July 4th For You!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday.
Will you be going to a July 4th BBQ or party?
Plan on bringing something with you for the host(s)?  Wine, dessert, a side dish?
Then this "Red, White, and Blue For You" card might be just the thing to add to whatever you are bringing.

It's so easy and fast to make.  You can get 3 cards with this technique.

  • Using the Wave Form Cover Die from Altenew, I cut 3 pieces of red, white, and blue glitter fun foam.  You can also use cardstock, textured cardstock, or glitter cardstock.
  • I cut a piece of black cardstock 4.5" x 5.5" and, alternating with the colors on each piece, I adhered them to the black cardstock using wet glue.  Blue, then the red, then the white...until the whole card front has been covered - and I set it aside for the glue to fully dry.
  • Once fully dry, I die-cut it using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the front of a top-folding A2 card.
  • I stamped Circle - For You on white cardstock, die-cut it with a circle die, layered it on a piece of white glitter fun foam that I had die-cut using the next circle die up in size, and adhered it to the card front.

  • And, if you live in the USA or made a card in the USA, you can stamp Made in the USA on the back of your card and color it with a red and blue marker.  This is such a great signature stamp for the cards you make.

Don't forget - if you go shopping on the Technique Junkies website (www.techniquejunkies.com) you can save 10% at checkout by using my Design Team Discount Code - TJ10Michael.  I thank you in advance for using it.

Until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.

Seashells have Stories

 Good day to all!
Pam here sharing my creation with the Shell and turtle Frame and it was paired with a new sentiment from Seashell Sentiments, set of 4.
Sometimes I like to use designer paper and stamp similar images onto it. I did that here and then stamped the images again, cut them out and paper pieced them onto the page.
Seashells are the best! Check all the fabulous stamps out here

Beauty In Simplicity

 Hey There Crafty Friends -

Today's card is showcasing the Hippie Flower Border and Beauty in Simplicity stamp sets. I was having another pretty in pink moment and I adore the end results.

I used a pink card base. I added strips of patterned paper to the left side of the card base. I stamped the Hippie Flower Border on a piece of white card stock which took up the right side of the card base.
The image was colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment from the Beauty In Simplicity was stamped in pink and placed across the bottom of the card with 3D foam tape.  To complete the card, I added a touch of pink rhinestones.

I hope you are inspired! Don't forget to use discount code TJ10Shalana whenever you check out on the Technique Junkies website 😉 Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
