Today I used the Sketched Poinsetta Wreath to show you a quick and simple way to jump start your holiday card making. You can recreate this card with ease.  

• I used wood grain patterned paper as my base. 
• I stamped the Sketched Poinsetta Wreath in black. I colored the image directly on the patterned paper using Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers. 
• I stamped the Seasons Greetings sentiment using Candy Apple CTMH ink. 
• I framed the mat with black card stock and adhered it to the card base.

York Pa Show - our last time at the event...

 

Our last show in the York area!

York PA StamperCon Thurday, Oct 13: Design and Treasure 6-9pm Friday Oct 14: Show Hours 10am - 5pm Saturday Oct 15: Show Hours 10am - 4pm

Our Farewell Show in York PA... We are sad to announce that our last time to exhibit at the York PA show will be next weekend, October 13th and 14th. Please come by to shop and say hello! Although we love coming to the show, our plans for next fall will not allow us to attend this show, and 2024 will be our last year of show travel. Show details are on the StamperCon Website: HERE York Expo Center ~ Old Main Bldg (New) 334 Carlisle Ave, York, PA 17404 Note: The show is in a new building this year: the Old Main Building.

Christmas Elegance

Deb here with 2 of the October Stamp Releases from Technique Junkies .There are so many amazing new stamps in this release but I just had to create my first card with  Ribboned Ornaments . This image seemed so elegant to me, with the vintage style ornaments and pretty ribbons. Don't forget that all the new October Release stamps are 15% off through the 8th. No code is required. • I stamped the Ribboned Ornaments image on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with my COPICS .
• A piece of blue holiday plaid paper was adhered to a bright green card base.
• I fussy-cut across the bottom of the ornaments  to add some fun to the card. 
• The ornament panel was adhered to the card base on top of the plaid paper. 
• A die-cut arrow banner was stamped with Christmas Blessings - another new October Release - using Paris Dusk Memento ink .
• I placed a red candy drop at the end of the sentiment.
• The banner was adhered in the center of the plaid paper.

Hanukkah ~ Peace on Earth

     It's time to take a look at the new stamp release for October and it is loaded with holiday, holiday, holiday!

I absolutely love the new stylized Peace dove set so I decided to combine it with the Hanukkah background on this card.  Don't you just love the TJ background stamps? They can really help your cards come together quickly.

Isn't the large peace dove stamp so beautiful with its wings spread wide with hope? I love birds and can see this stamp being used on a variety of future cards. Think of the possibilities!

For this card I really kept it simple though it may not look like it. 

1) I first stamped Hanukkah background in gray on a piece of white card stock. I put a piece of black card stock behind it. My black piece only shows on the sides because I didn't want to trim down the feathers. Attach to the front of an A2 card.

2) Then I stamped the dove in black ink then fussy cut it out. Used a light gray marker on the feathers to add interest and depth.  Added foam dimensionals behind it. Don't attach yet.

3) Next I stamped Peace on Earth in green then die cut it in a circle, adhered a die cut green sprig to the top of the circle (I chose one similar in shape to the branches in the background design) - then attached it to the card. 

4) Add the dove to the card so the wings partially cover the edge of your circle. 

5) Lastly...add a few green gems if you have some. If not, use a green marker and color in a few dots, green sequins, or use glue and green glitter in a few areas.  You're done!

Simple Hanukkah

Hi Junkies! (Chris here!)

I know Christmas cards often over shadow Hanukkah cards, but I didn't want to leave out our Jewish friends.   This Hanukkah Background is really pretty.  I love how the icons are spaced.  I think it creates an elegant look.  I didn't want to cover up the background so I paired it with the greeting and let it be the star of the show. 

I used a scrap from when I cut down the background to use on the inside of the card. I wanted to carry the background all the way through.   I hope you love it and it inspires you to get crafty today!
