Grungy Altered Tiles for Christmas

Hi, Beth Norman here and I'm getting ahead of the game this Christmas; I'm putting together an 8" x 8" album for my son, highlighting some of the most memorable moments. I am using techniques from our newsletter throughout his book. On my title page I am using Grungy Altered Tiles. It was so easy to follow the tutorial from the Stampbooking CD.

Vellum Sentiment technique.

For this card I used some lovely stamps

from Mark's Finest papers

and the set is called

Ferns and Chickadee

I stamped with memento's black ink

and colored with my copic markers.

and the ferns up front were stamped

with kaleidacolor inkpad.

Good day to all of you from Judy Jackson!

This technique is not hard and certainly gives a different sense of dimension and texture to your card than if you just used a flat printed image. Why don't I think of doing things like this? This particular image is from the several "sample pictures" that were just loaded on my computer in the pictures folder. So I have no idea whose picture it is! It works great for this technique from the June/July newsletter.

Stamps are from Stampin' Up! and PSX. I sprayed a gold glimmer spray over the surface of the card.

Cherish Friendship - Pastel Painted Embossing

I love to use the Pastel Painted Embossing Technique on embossed cards.  This easy technique from the Emboss or Die CD adds pretty depth to the background of a simple card. On this card, I colored the goose with pastels and a blender before layering him over my background. All stamps by Stampin' Up!.
