Stampbooking CD --Painted Frames

{jane bosi} posting today with a little ditty I call "Little Miss Thang!" I've been hosting Stampbooking Week on my blog since last week. Today is my final official Stampbooking post, but there will be more in the future! With five wee ones, I've got tons of pictures!!

I've used the Painted Frames technique from the TJNL Stampbooking CD. This is a simple technique and very effective for drawing the eye to your focal point. I used some simple embellishments--including a stitched heart to complete the page. Why don't you give it a try????

Collaged Circles by Judy Jackson

Good day from Judy Jackson - i hope your day is going great!

Doesn't a lighthouse by the ocean seem a calming feature on the landscape? Every lighthouse was styled differently. What an important job the old lighthouse keepers had!

I decided to use the collaged circles technique as the background. I used these calming colors of designer paper and alternated the colors as I worked through this project. The twine seems to hold down the circles behind the light house.

This is an easy useful project -- what a wonderful way to use scraps of designer paper hiding in our stamp/scrap/craft rooms! It adds terrific visual interest as well.

I used water color pencils to color in the focal image. Stamp credits belong to Stampin' Up -- a retired set which I enjoy using!

I hope you are able to do some crafting today.

Faux Washi Paper on a Decorative Clip

Hello on your stamping Saturday from Kathie McGuire!I'm here today with another "Clip" assortment for a friend.

Although I love using preprinted background papers to decorate these clothespins, I got a big surprise when I decided to cut up some Technique Junkies backgrounds. I LOVE the way they look--much better than background paper!!!

The multicolored clip with the binkini on it showcases one of the latest techniques from the August/September 2011 newsletter, "Faux Washi Paper." I'm thrilled that I learned this technique because I've already made dozens of backgrounds with it. It's fast and easy and every piece turns out so beautifully.

The clips are decorated with some whimsical buttons from my button stash.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and thanks for stopping by today!!

Try that Technique Thursday

Nancy Dawson here with your Try that Technique Thursday Challenge. From the Emboss or Die CD under Embossing Techniques you have to try the Trellis Window Tutorial! It is so cute and a really neat looking card. Use your dies or punches to make your 'window' and your sentiment will show thru then add your trellis strips! I used Stampin' Up Sentiment and Designer Paper accented with one of the matching buttons.

Come on ladies give it a go! We'd love to see your creations.

Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'
Nancy

Perfect Pattern Paper

Hello, Beth Norman here with Perfect Pattern Paper from our new Stampbooking CD. Continuing on into Adam's (christmas present) 8" x 8" scrapbook, I chose to use one of the techniques for my album. No matter what size of scrapbook, all of the techniques will work.

My son is very sentimental and misses all of the homes we lived in. As we moved from province to province, his heart remains in Prince Edward Island (above Maine), where he was born.
