FALL ACETATE SPARKLE

Hello Everyone, This is Chrissy D here!!! Are you getting ready for fall? This is my favorite time of year! I love the change of colors, the crunch of the leaves and the cooler air!

I used the technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter called Acetate Sparkle from the August/ September 2005 newsletter.


Here are the details:
Stamps: Starry Background, Candy Corn Wreath, Halloween Spirits and Boo-ze
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Basic black, Whisper White
Accessories: Lots and LOTS of glitter, Crystal Effects, Acetate, Vintage Violet Stitched ribbon, Paper Piercing tool, Dimensionals,

Guitar~Wisped Frames

Hello Technique Junkies Friends! Kathie McGuire here on another one of your stamping Saturdays to share a card I made recently.

I used the Wisped Frames technique from the Feb/March 2010 newsletter on my main image. The guitar image is unknown, as it's an unmounted image from a stamp show purchase long ago and I didn't mark the rubber. I stamped it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with PSX Gold embossing powder. I cut the image with a Spellbinders die, then used the Wisped Frame technique to make it a little more interesting.

The gold paper was Cuttlebug'd; image on the inside is Stampin'Up!

Thursday? Already? Try That Technique

{Jane Bosi} Well, as it sometimes happens, Thursday has caught me completely off guard! I AM bringing you this week's Try That Technique Challenge! This week, our technique is: Acetate and Pearl Ex from the October 2004 edition. As the mother of five wee ones, I tend to shy away from any kind of technique that results in a mess---I already have enough of those on my hands! I wouldn't exactly say this is messy.......but, it could be! The results, however, are well worth some stray Pearl Ex on the table! My main image is from I Brake For Stamps. The sentiment, from Rouge Redhead Designs. C'mon! Give it a whirl! TTFN, Jane

Apple Time

Hello Stampers,

Hetty here with some apples.

This time of the year is apple time and I have this cute digital stamp

from Create with TLC and

used it for some caramel apple cards

and for the Jewish New Year (which - by the way is

tomorrow). You find the card and the template for these

cards on my own blog: Craftchaos.

For this card I used some kraft colored cardstock, red paper, buttons

and my swirl embossingfolder.

I cut the card according the template (see HERE) and used the

cuttlebug highlight technique - Oct/Nov 2008 - with some wild honey distress ink.

To give it that creamy caramel look, I embossed it all with

honey pearl embossing powder,

Here a close up of the digital image, that is colored

with copic markers. In the heart of the clock

I added some metal findings of the Tim Holtz collection.

Hey, bloggers....Ann Clack here.  I've wanted to try the embellished circles technique for a long time but had no stamps that were suitable.  Finally got some and was able to play.  I didn't embellish them very much though!  I've loved the simple look of this technique and hope you do too!
