Cascading Images by Judy Jackson

 

This week's Try That Technique is Cascading Images.  It is very interesting to think about the images you own and figure out which images will work for this technique.  there are more than you might think!  Stamp credits are Stampin' Up, and SmART Works.  I dry embossed the green panel, added some bling and tied a ribbon and I like the results. I hope do as well!

Try That Technique Thursday Is Baaaack!!!

{Jane Bosi} Happy Thursday, Friends!!!  Today, I'm happy to announce that after a LOOOOOONG hiatus, Nancy Dawson and I are bringing back the Try That Technique Challenge!  We've worked out a fabby schedule of challenges for all of us and hope that you will play along!  We've changed things up a bit and will host a new challenge every OTHER week.  The challenge will always be announced here--as well as our blogs!

For todays challenge, we are using a current technique (April/May 2012) called Cascading Images.  I'm using images from the TJ Vendor company, Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  This set, Every Day Miracles, is one of my favorites!

technique from the April/ May 2012

Technique Junkies Newsletter.

This technique is called

Cascading Images.

 For this card I used sewing spools by Mark Finest

and the girl image is by Create with Tlc.

The way the spools are organised, that is done with

the cascading image technique. I stamped everything on

kraft paper and colored it with pencils.

 Some stapled ribbons, sticky pearls 

and sewn on buttons finsh the decoration of the card.

De background is a piece of left over scrap paper.

Hello TJ Friends! Kathie McGuire here to share a card with you today using the Cuttlebug Smoosh technique from October 2007. The main image used here is from The Rubber Cafe; I painted the stamp with Twinkling H2O's, then misted it, and stamped directly onto black cardstock. Fast and fun! The little button-like embellishments are also from The Rubber Cafe and they were originally white with gold dots on them. I used the Twinkling H2O's to paint them to match my flower. Wedding Library Book Album

Hello my fellow Technique Junkies! Jackie K here.
This book is from The Mini Album Mania CD. This is a gift for a friend that just got married. She can put little mementos, photos into the library card pockets, or write some memorable moments on cards and slip them into the pockets. This is a very versatile book and can be made and given as a gift for any number of occasions. It's fun to make too! The CD is chock full of wonderful ideas for albums of all shapes and sizes, with easy to follow instructions. Oh and I shouldn't forget to tell you that each album is printable right from the CD!

Holly Brown: Rose Wreath

Hi TJers! It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this spring-themed Rose Wreath card with you. I created the wreath by stamping the roses and cutting them out, then arranging them on some kraft cardstock with some punched leaves and branches. The background is the Watercolor Gesso technique from Technique Junkies. I love how this backgound has touches of all three colors - pink, moss, and kraft. Some kraft seam binding was tied into a bow and added to the top of the wreath. All the stamps on this card are from Rogue Redhead Designs.
