Holly Brown: Collapsing Cupcake Box

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I made this fun Collapsing Cupcake box to share with y'all.  The tutorial for this great technique is on the brand new Great Gifts CD.  The Great Gifts CD contains 40 brand-new tutorials for gifts for all occasions! All of the tutorials are in step-by-step pictorial format, of course, and are printable to 8 1/2" x 11" paper. It is only $14.95 plus shipping. You can order from the Great Gifts Page:

I decorated my cupcake box with rosettes.  The directions for making these rosettes are in the fabulous Rosette Wreath technique, also found on the Great Gifts CD.  The picture below shows what the box looks like when you untie the ribbon:

Isn't that cool?  I had fun making this box.  Just think of all the different patterned papers you could use for making your own cupcake box.  Use fall papers, Christmas papers, Valentine papers, birthday papers - the possibilities are endless!

Layered Masked Collage

The possibilities are endless with this technique! It will work with ANY focal image stamp and ANY leaves, branches, script  or floral stamps. I used Inkadinkado  as my focal image and PSX for my script. The stamp on the left (embossed in white) is from Local King Rubber. I strongly suggest you give this technique a try...you won't be disappointed.
Thanks for looking,
See you in 2 weeks!

Embossed Edges by Judy Jackson

The Embossed Edges Technique creates a wonderful "frame" for the focal point image on your card.   The only trick is to leave enough room around your focal image to do the embossing.

Don't you like this beach scene of these antique sail boats from Stamp Camp? I like it very much! Stamp Camp is a new vendor for the Technique Junkie newsletter. Be sure and see her ad for her company.  I used a retired Old World background from Stampin' Up.  I colored the focal image with Copic markers.

I think is a great masculine card, do you?

Have a creative day!

Hello Dear TJ Friends! Kathie McGuire here to share a little bird card with you. The background is a pre-made paper which is also pre-punched on the corners. I got it as a gift from a friend, and this wonderful friend also gave me a package of the brad-like brad embellisment I used in one of the corners. Thank goodness for the Curled Corner technique from the Feb/2000 newsletter, because it allowed me to find the perfect place on the card for this wonderful little doo-dad. The bird and the bird cage are a Tim Holtz die cut. The gems are a gel-like sticker I purchased at Michael's. One other little addition is some sparkly spica pen on the tree branches. Thank you for stopping by today and taking a look! Kathie McGuire

Holly Brown: Rosette Wreath

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today.  Did you go through the Great Gifts blog hop that the TJ designers held on Wednesday?  There is some awesome artwork on all of the blogs in this hop.  This Rosette Wreath is just one of three projects I had on my blog for this hop.

The tutorial for this Rosette Wreath is on the brand new Great Gifts CD - just one of 40 awesome new projects.  This CD is just in time for the upcoming holidays.  I'm actually planning on making three more of these Rosette Wreaths to give away as Christmas gifts this year.  :-)

You can see pictures of all the techniques on this Great Gifts CD by clicking here:

Happy Great Gifts to You Blog Hop! by Judy Jackson

Today the Technique Junkie Design Team has a Blog Hop Surprise for you!  But first ~~ did you know there are ONLY  89 days left until Christmas?  For some people, that sounds like a lot and for others that number brings about an almost state of panic!  Panic can set in if you have a lot of home made gifts you want to make for family and friends.

I can still remember receiving a box of fabric and a pattern from my mother for Christmas.  She was going to make a dress and it just didn't happen.  That didn't happen until I was a teenager and it didn't happen often.  Don't let this happen to YOU!  Make sure you buy the brand new Technique Junkie Great Gifts CD!  You can be ready for Christmas without panic!

But now you wonder -- hmm, just what type of gifts are on this CD?  The CD contains 40 paper crafting projects with gifts for all occasions. There are boxes, bags, surprises and even explosions on this CD! The CD is just $14.95 plus postage. A full index list of what is on the CD – with pictures of each project – is available at this website.

Use the link on the side bar to order.
Are they difficult to make?  Nope, not at all.  Are there step by step instructions to make the directions easy to follow? Yes, just like all of the Technique Junkie CDs and the website newsletter, there are easy to follow directions with pictures!

So what are you waiting for?  You know it, you really do.  You really do NEED this Great Gifts CD.

Here is my project - a K Cup gift holder.

Nearly every adult loves coffee and the K-Cup machine are so very popular I think this is a perfect gift - not just for Christmas either.  Filling this little box with three K Cups and you have a perfect stocking stuffer gift, a gift to accompany a new K-Cup Christmas gift, and/or a hostess gift for a dinner or a over night visit at the home of a friend!  Make up several of these and you are good to go!

Like any blog hop -- there is a beginning and stops along the way. This is the first stop of this Blog Hop. Pat Huntoon is the last stop for our Great Gifts CD Blog Hop. The rest are listed here below.

10: Shelly Schmidt: http://shellymc2.blogspot.com/

There is a drop down menu on the side bar where you can order the Great Gifts CD (or any other TJ CD of your choice).  And did you know that these TJ CDs are wonderful gifts all on their own for your stamping buddy friend (or family member)!

Happy Hopping!

Perhaps I will see you in a crafting aisle of some store buying supplies for all of the gifts you will be making from this CD!
