Ready to be inspired?

First all, I have this pink pretty that uses Like a Teacup as the focal image, with the Tea Time stamp as the background image. All of the cups and teapots were colored with Copic Markers:

Next are some images from the Typewriter Set (10 images) What I like most about this set is that, while the sayings are great INSIDE the typewriter paper, each of them can be used all by itself!

And Last, but not least, is Country Church (the sentiment is from the previously released Peace on Earth stamp). I colored this by stamping with VersaMarks and sweeping Pan Pastels over the images:

Festive Wreath Card

I used the Technique Junkies Christmas Sponge set - http://techniquejunkies.com/christmas-sponge-set/ to create this wreath. I used two different green markers and a red marker to color the leaves and holly berries. I stamped the holly on strips of white card stock and used a very similar curved holly punch and punched out the leaves. Cut a larger circle for the base of the wreath. I didn't do this and I should have as it would have made it much easier.

I traced around a round bottle for the shape of the wreath. I adhered holly leaves down with a tape runner for the first layer. Then I used foam tape in thin strips curved under the leaves. I cut an interesting shape from red card stock to lay the wreath on and adhered it. I used Liquid Pearls in a lovely red color for the berries - both where they were stamped and in other places as I thought they needed to be in place. I let it dry over night. A multi loop wreath (with my "Bow Easy") was adhered with a glue dot.

The wreath panel was adhered to a layer of background paper which was adhered to the base layer of red card stock. I stamped the Technique Junkies Merry Christmas - http://techniquejunkies.com/merry-christmas-2/ - with black Versafine ink and heat embossed it.

Pinecones Stamped on Recycled Paper

Hello Everyone,
Hope your day is going well! I am still busy making Christmas cards. I have completed quite a few already. Let's check out a batch of Christmas cards I made using stamps from the October New Releases from Technique Junkies.

Now, being the fugal crafter that I am, I reused something to make the cards. Back story--I made a trip to the post office to send out a card order and buy some stamps. The stamps were put in a nice shiny bag. I thought it seemed like very interesting paper and I should not throw it out. Okay, I know, not throw out a bag from the Post office?? But, really, just look at the bag.

As, you can see, I have stamped on the bag. I used dye inks. They worked the best. I tried others but they did not turn out as well. After cutting the bag apart, I was able to stamp five of the Pinecone images. And, I turned the stamped bag into these cards...

Materials:

Stamps: Pinecones and All is Calm from Technique Junkies

Ink: Rich Cocoa and Tuxedo Black Memento dye ink

CS: gold

DP: Striped holiday paper MME

Burlap Snowflake ribbon

Charm

Bag from Post Office

Make It:

Make a card base with gold CS
Stamp Pinecones on the Post office bag with Rich Cocoa ink and trim to size
Add pinecones piece to card base
Tear pieces of decorative paper and add to the card base on corners

Stamp All is Calm with black ink in upper corner
Tie ribbon in bow
Glue charm and bow to card front

Of course, I had to try the stamp on other types of paper and CS. I used different ink colors too. Here are some more examples using the same layout.

The cards went together pretty quickly. I spent most of the time going through all my decorative papers to find striped papers that coordinated with the stamping and CS. LOL I made ten all together. They are going in my Christmas card list box.

Mistletoe Mandala

Hello Junkies!

The Crafty Nurse here with another post showcasing the October Technique Junkies release. When I was making this card I really wanted to use the Mistletoe stamp in a different way so I performed a bit of stamp surgery by removing the attached sentiment. Worry not, if you want to use your sentiment again, just put it together on the stamp block and it's good as new. Once you start thinking about different ways you can use your stamps you'll be cutting away.

Once my stamp recovered from surgery I used the leaf portion to create a mandala pattern for a background. Before I did this, I created a background of embossed circles using the Hero Arts infinity dies. To achieve this, lay out your circle dies and washi tape them together. Then run it through your die cutting machine using the embossing pad. Here's what they look like so you have an idea.

For my focal image I stenciled the Hero Arts Reindeer with Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber inks. I fussy cut him out, stamped with the Mistletoe stamp then applied additional shading to make him pop. My sentiment is from the gorgeous "Christmas Ornaments Trio Set of 9" which I embossed.

Stained Embossing

Hello fellow stampers. It's Beth Norman here with two cards to share with you today, both using the Stained Embossing technique found on the Artistic Effects CD. I added orange cording and copper coloured brads. I had so much fun with this technique that I felt the need to create a second card.

My first card uses the sentiment called Find Our Way, which I thought paired well with all the swirls of the leaves in the wind. My new-to-me embossing folder is from Darice.

My second card is a little unconventional because I rubbed Stampin' Up! Marina Mist over my embossing. I find this to be a very funny card, using Partners in Crime (it has 6 sentiments) and Owls. I created clouds behind the owls with a handmade cloud template.

This background was created using alcohol based markers and hand sanitizer. I scribbled blocks of colored onto my craft sheet and then dropped hand sanitizer onto the blocks of color. I then dipped my GLOSSY card stock into the marker/sanitizer picking up color. The first grouping of colors weren't to my liking so I did the next in all shades of red and simply layered it onto the existing piece I didn't like!

This created a nice marbleized look!
