Let it Snow!

Good Morning!
I have a fun card to share with you this morning using the Let it Snow Stamp
I coloured the super sweet image using Chameleon Pencils!

They do a fabulous job on Kraft coloured cardstock.

I added some white gel pen "snow" and some glittery stickles "sleet".

Have you seen all the amazing samples using this stamp?

Hope you have a most amazing day!!!!

TJ Inkspirations: Studio 71 vs Copic Markers

A few weeks ago my friend Marie emailed me to tell me about the new Studio 71 Alcohol markers.  After looking into them, I realized that they are quite a bit cheaper than other alcohol markers on the market and I was curious if they were comparable to the Copic Markers I already own.

So I bought them. Funny, the buying/acquiring part of this job comes pretty easy to me...

But most importantly, I compared them.  Today I have a video for you that compares the markers, head-to-head. The video is STRICTLY my opinion. I really don't have a horse in the race!

BUT -- I am pretty impressed with the markers, and I have decided to offer the 24-pack of Studio 71 alcohol markers on a PRE-ORDER basis for 20% off list price. The 24-pack of markers usually retails at $48.00, so from now until October 30, I am taking pre-orders for the 24 pack for only $38.40. (yup, that's just $1.60 per marker). Just put them in your shopping cart, and the discounted rate will be applied automatically (until October 30th).  The orders will all mil the first week of November.

That being said:
You do not need these markers IF you have a decent supply of Copic markers.  Really, you don't.

These are terrific for people who have very few markers, or who are just starting a collection
.  This will save people OODLES of moola. If you already have Copics - restrain from buying them and spend your money on stamps to color, instead!

Studio 71 vs Copics
This is the result of the comparison - do you know which is which?

In Everything Give Thanks

Hello friends! Fall is here, pretty leave colors, amazing weather (I am a fall weather person), pies and great bakes! Thanksgiving is just around corner, and what a better occasion to send a special card to your special people using the new Give Thanks stamp.

So today, I have a quick tutorial for you, so let's get started.
  • Start dusting little bits of Color Burst powders onto a piece of watercolor paper, then mist the cardstock until you like the result, set aside to air dry or use you heat gun.
  • After that, stamp image in jet Black Stazon Ink using your MISTI, it will take 2 or 3 pressures to get a goo impression (Remember watercolor cardstock is not as smooth as regualr cardstock)
  • After that, stamp the image in Versamark Watermark ink, then add Clear Embossing powder and heat set. (This give your image a shinier look)
  • Finally, die-cut the stamp piece and adhere it to a Kraft card base, add white and patterned paper panel and a scallop border. Add ribbon and dew drops.

And just in case you want to get any of the wonderful technique Junkies Stamps, you can use this code to get 10% off (excludes Ocotber release)

Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!

Happy Birthday Pat

Hi, it's Beth Norman here with a birthday card for the owner of Technique Junkies, Pat Huntoon.  She recently celebrated her birthday so I made this card for her.  Canada Post is slow so and I was slow in getting it made, so it will be a little late in the mail.

The stamp I used was from Hello Cupcake, set of 7.  After stamping the image out with my Misti I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencil crayons.

Pat, I hope you had a great birthday.

Deepest Sympathy

Unfortunately, we all need to send sympathy cards now and then.  I try to have several on hand  at all times.  It seems like when I get behind in having some at the ready, then I need several all at once.

The base card is white card stock.  The flower panel if framed in navy card stock.  I sponged blue ink for the sky and some green ink for the grass.   The flowers are a Technique Junkies stamp and I applied ink to the stamp with markers.  The name of the stamp is Daisy Garden - http://techniquejunkies.com/daisy-garden/  . I inked the stem with a shade of green and the flower in blues.  I stamped it over and over.  It is border with a dark blue card stock panel layered on the white base card.   The verse is from Technique Junkies Stamps With Sympathy - http://techniquejunkies.com/with-sympathy-set-of-5/    .

Have a wonderful day -- and get inky!
