  • Big Butterfly Collage (new March release)
  • Grunge Thank You
  • Ombre or multi-color ink pads (Kaleidacolor Desert Heat and Spectrum used)
  • White cardstock
  • Black ink pad
  • Acrylic stamp block or positioning tool
Tip: Look for ink pads that have a similar color at one end of the spectrum for a seamless transition.

Instructions:

Spring ATCs

At our house, Spring only means one thing ... the beginning of Baseball Season.

Remember, if you go shopping, use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your purchase.

When I saw the February Technique Junkie Challenge was Spring-themed ATCs, I knew exactly which stamps I wanted to ink-up.

One of the nice things about the Baseballs Background is that it's the perfect size to trim into two  ATCs from a single stamp.

I combined my background with stamps from Swing for the Fences (Set of 7 Stamps).  Background is stamped in Brown with sentiment & glove stamped in red & attached with foam tape for dimension.

For my second ATC, I used one of the larger sentiments from Swing For the Fences.

So, if you're like me and you don't *trade* your Artist Trading Cards, what do you do with them ... you make cards of course.

All I added was a strip of red paint Gel Press Print on a 4" x 5 1/2" base.

I hope you make some ATCs and link-up for our February Challenge ... you have until March 11th to link-up (and if you use Technique Junkies stamps, you have a chance to win $25 to buy even more).

How to Create Men's Jeans

Hello fellow stampers.  Today I'm going to share with you how to make men's jeans which is a nice masculine card for that someone special.  If you want to receive 10% off these stamps, or any other product, simply use TJ10Beth in your shopping cart to receive the price reduction.

These jeans are a breeze to make.  Who knew they could sew up so quick!

Start by stamping out your Blue Jeans background stamp

Using red, or another colour of choice, stamp out Cheers! from Simple Sentiments 2a
Adhere the Cheers! to the left side of the seam from Simple Sentiments 2a
To make the leather patch cut a 2" x 2" piece of Kraft paper and distress the edges with brown ink.  Stamp out Happy Birthday 3 in the centre then add some holes around the edges.  Take a fine tip marker and draw from hole to hole to make it look like it is stitched
Attach to the left side of your stamped image.  Add a brad to the pocket. You are now ready to finish your card as desired.  Have fun!

Yupo, a Die and a Butterfly

Hello Technique Junkie Friends!

Lee Ann here today,   sharing a card using the technique of popping up die pieces from a background die- not sure if there is an actual name for this technique but I love the look of it.  With a few supplies- alcohol ink, Yupo, Technique Junkies Butterfly 2 stamp, and a background die, I created a card with significant Wow factor.  Thinking you need the Butterfly 2 stamp
You can get 10% off of your Technique Junkies order using code TJ10LeeAnn.
Who doesn't like a little extra pocket change!?

I started with a piece of Yupo paper and some alcohol inks in pinks, yellows and oranges.  I created a simple striped Yupo panel.
Using a card front sized background die, I die cut from both a white piece of cardstock and the Yupo paper.  So there is an easy way and a hard way to do this.  I chose the hard way.  Yep, pretty much every time!
I used Press n Seal Wrap to remove the die cuts from the dies and once the pieces were out of the die, I transferred the pieces to another piece of Press n Seal so that I could add adhesive to the back of the pieces I was using.  While still on the Press n Seal so that the placement of the pieces stayed exactly where they were in the die, I adhered them to the card front.
It was a bit of a learning process; in reality, I should have put the adhesive on the backs of the pieces while then were still in the die and then adhere them to the card front.  Next time...
I used this popped up background for my Butterfly 2 that was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.

There were a lot of pieces left from these die cuts; you can see what I did with them on March 1st during the release hop!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you give this technique a try!

One Umbrella

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, here to share with you. Today I used a fun background stamp paid up with a fabulous silhouette stamp. You can grab these and save 10% off by using my code TJ10Ceal at Technique Junkies.

To make my card I started with a top folding watercolor card base and a panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the Survive Together image using Versafine ink and then masked it off and then using a couple distress oxides in Broken China and Faded Jeans I stamped the Paint Rings image for the background to mimic water droplets. Since the oxide inks react with water, I spritzed a little water over the image.

Don't forget to use my code to save some money, we all like to save don't we!
