First Coffee Cat

I just love this Technique Junkies cat with coffee!  Those eyes!  With his fishy newspaper and steaming coffee, and that night cap, well, he just makes me smile!  I guess it's because I can relate to that look in the morning.
I used these stamps and supplies to make my card:
Technique Junkies First Coffee stamp
Technique Junkies Bunch of Beans stamp
Technique Junkies Harvest Sunset Shimmering Bliss spray

I stamped the Bunch of Beans stamp onto a kraft card stock panel, using distress ink, then added it to a black A2 card front.  I added a strip of black card stock, and a strip of kraft card stock, which I had sprayed with the Harvest Sunset Shimmering Bliss, onto the strip.

For the main image panel, I stamped the First Coffee stamp onto a kraft card stock panel, and trimmed it to size.  I colored it with Polychromos colored pencils, and the newspaper, mug, and night cap with Harvest Sunset Shimmering Bliss spray.  I love the shimmery look!
I attached the cat panel with foam tape for dimension.  I detached the verse from the stamp, and used it separately to stamp the verse in two sections, then spritzed some Shimmering Mist onto them.  I used a punch on them, and added them with foam tape.

A Trio of Shells

To create this card, I used several Technique Junkies stamps: French TextSeashells, and Seagrass. I stamped French Text on the background, and then the Seagrass on top of it in beige ink. Then, on second piece of white paper, I stamped French Text again, and stamped three of the sea shells in teal ink, leaving space so I could cut them out in small squares. Then I punched out a mat a tiny bit bigger. I affixed the squares in to a strip of burlap ribbon, starting with the middle square, and stamped an additional shell on the card, over the seagrass. The verse is heat-embossed. I added a dot of Nuvo glitter drops in the top right corner of each shell square.

AUTUMN BLESSINGS TIMES TWO

Hello Technique Junkies Stamps Fans!

I can't stop playing with this "Autumn Blessings" stamp from the new September Release.  If you ever wanted to have one autumn stamp in your collection this would be the one.  It's so versatile and creates beautiful cards so easily.

Enabler Alert:  You can purchase any Technique Junkies Stamps from the store (including Shimmering Bliss Sprays and Ken Oliver Color Burst Pigment Powders) for a full 10% off the entire order.  Just add my personal discount code TJ10CHERI in the "coupon code" area at check out.

Each of these cards was created the same way, I simply used different embossing powder colors and Copic Markers.  Both were stamped with VersaMark embossing ink on kraft cardstock.

This card was heat embossed with copper color embossing powder, colored with Copic Markers, (sorry, I didn't itemize what I used, but I stuck with R's, YR's and YG's) mounted on a deep red layer and adhered to a CS base layer which is the same as the colored panel.  Before adhering it to the base panel, I sponged around the panel with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

The difference in this card is the embossing powder color and Copic Markers.  I used gold ep on this card.

I hope you found some inspiration here today.  Thanks for stopping by.

Once more, here's my coupon code if you'd like to purchase this stamp or any other Technique Junkies Stamps you like.

Whatcha Doing?

This cute little Ghost and the verse Whatcha Doin'?  make the focal point for this card.  I then sponged on a light olive ink all over the card front framing the ghost.  I added deep purple ink over the top of that. Then I spritzed Dazzle Shimmering Bliss sprays to add some reactive qualities and some pale shimmer.   The addition of some lime rhinestones  add dimension to the card.

Remember to use the code TJ10Judy to the your order to gain a 10% discount off your total order.

Have a great day, and get inky!

Northern Lights and a little fright!

Good Morning~ Hope you're all having a great weekend! It's been super hot here, so perfect to stay inside and Stamp!!!!!!

How do you like this new Wolf by Moonlight image? I think it's fabulous!! I've been wanting to try the Northern lights technique for awhile now and thought it would look perfect with this stamp~

I used Tim Holtz Distress INks in Black Soo, Chipped Saphire, Broken China and Picked Raspberry for the sponged in sky.  I stamped the image in Versafine Clair in Nocturne. Oh boy~ NOW I see all  what all the hulabaloo is with regard to this ink. It's delicious!!!!

I took the sentiment from the Sentimental Sayings Set , inked it in Versamark and sprinkled on some white embossing powder. I really like the way it turned out. I wanted a the sky to look a little bit Starry, so I poured some embossing powder over the top of the card and then tapped it off. I heated it and just got a lovely smattering here and there!!!!

If you look closely on the gray card, you can see some texture in the background. That is from the Textured Newsprint Background Stamp. I can see myself using this stamp over and over again. I LOVE it~~~

I wanted you to be able to see a little more of it, so using my Misti, I stamped it in Mist Ink and then reinked it with a swipe or two of nocturne before stamping again. Really reminds me of worm newsprint~~ I paired it up with some Dies and Nuvo drop eyes to bring it to life. I have something going on with these Nuvo drops~~~

Heres what it looks like all lit up~~

Here's a little coupon code if you're up for some retail therapy today~~~

TJ Inkspirations: Shimmering Bliss Mousse and Marker Resist

While playing with the Technique Junkies Shimmering Bliss sprays, I realized that both Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and Nuvo Glitter Markersboth resist the sprays.  I loved the result so much that we decided to do it as the Make and Take in the TJ tradeshow booth.

Today's tutorial shows you how to paint, color and spray your way to gorgeous shimmering resist backgrounds.

Here are some links you might like to pick up your favorite colors:
