Joyeux Noel
Have you hopped yet? Technique Junkies' October Release Blog Hop is well under way. Be sure to check out the inspiration of the Design Team, using the awesome new stamps.
My card for today....
Stamps:
Technique Junkies Season's Greetings Set of 6 (new)
Technique Junkies Vintage Merry Christmas (new)
Technique Junkies Joyeux Noel (previous)
I
stamped the fir branches from the Season's Greetings set onto a cream
A2 card front. I used my Misti, and inked it with various greens from
the Tim Holtz distress mini ink pads. I repeated this until I got the
look I wanted.
I also stamped off on scrap paper for some of the branches, then onto the card, so they appear to be in the background. I used a Clarity stencil brush to brush on some green to soften the card.
For the gold on the branches, I used my Dove blending tool to add lines here and there, then embossed them with gold. I also embossed the verse with gold embossing powder.
For the ornaments, I stamped and embossed the ornaments from the Vintage Merry Christmas stamp onto watercolor paper. I painted them with Shimmering Bliss sprays.
I just removed the top, and used the applicator to put some drops of
ink onto a palette, then painted the ornaments. The SB adds shimmer and
shine to the ornaments, which is so pretty in real life!
I fussy-cut the ornaments, and added them to the card with foam tape for dimension. Then I used a gold gel pen to draw the gold threads to hang them from the branches.
I used my gold leafing pen to draw a gold narrow stripe down the right side of the card, and added some gems.
That's it. Easy-peasy.
Don't forget, all new release stamps are 15% off until October 8th. Be sure to use my code, TJ10Lynda, at the checkout, and get 10% off non-release items, as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Blessings,

Black + Gold = Stunning Christmas Card
Hi, everybody! Toodle Noodle Ro is in the house. So, are you ready for Christmas? No? Me either. But I'm making a start on my Christmas cards, so that's something at least! The one I have for you today is so striking (in my humble opinion) that I may just make more with different backgrounds. I am loving the color combination!
IRL, the background just jumps out at you and looks so very elegant. Here is a closeup that hopefully shows a little better glimpse of the shine.
I started out by creating an A2 card from black CS. On a piece of gold CS, I stamped the holly and berries using the set Seasons Greetings Set of 6 (SS097) with Versamark Ink. I then heat embossed with gold EP. This piece was then trimmed down and attached to the card base.
On a black piece of CS, I stamped the greeting from that same set, again with Versamark and gold EP. I trimmed that panel down and attached it to the card base with some gold brads.
All-in-all, this was actually a very quick card to make. I plan to make several with different backgrounds for some special folks at Christmas.
Hope you got some ideas and inspiration today. And remember...this set is on special (15% off) until the 8th of this month (along with some other great new releases!). There are six beautiful stamps in this set. And for everything else, please use my special code to save 10%!
Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!

GETTING A JUMP ON THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Hello my Technique Junkies Stamps friends!

All the stamps in this release are now available at a 15% off retail price but only until October 8. No coupon code needed. Also, to let you know, all other TJ Stamps (excluding the new ones and ones on clearance) can be purchased at a 10% off discount using my personal coupon code of TJ10CHERI at check out. Treat yourself to some fun shopping.
I love the vintage look of this card and it was so easy to achieve. Simply mask off an area on a white card stock panel and lightly sponge Antique Linen Distress Ink inside the mask. Stamp the image in a green dye ink and color in. (I used Memento Forever Green and Copic Markers). The sentiment was stamped with the fabulous new Clair Ink from VersaFine "Fallen Leaves". The mask was removed and for a gold edge (adding to the vintage look) I used Nuvo Glitter Marker in gold. A white gel pen was used to add the highlights to the berries. Easy peasy card, for sure.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll catch the hop from yesterday if you haven't already. Don't forget to grab those new stamps while you can at 15% off and any others you might like using my discount coupon of TJ10CHERI.

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree
Good Morning!!!
I wanted to share a fun card using this lovely Partridge in a Pear Tree image
To get the various gradation of colour, I used my Misti and water based markers to colour the image. A good tip is to do this in portions, thus the need for my Misti!
To create the background, I used the Grunge Dot Stencil and some Harvest Summer Shimmering Bliss! A quick and easy card with just a little effort!!!! The card doesn't do Justice to the pretty shine that peeks behind the trees!!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Have a Boo-tiful Weekend!
Hey there everyone! Janelle here today with a Halloween card that's chock full of Boo buddies! The featured stamp is called Boo Convention and has so many possibilities! See different ideas with this stamp by clicking the link above and browsing through the gallery.

There isn't much to do to make this stamp really pop off the card, I used gray water-based makers to add shadows on all the ghosties and then masked a circular window towards the bottom of the card and sprayed Smoldering Ash Shimmering Bliss Spray. That gave me a glittery base to add a die cut lettering for the sentiment! Use whatever stamp, stencil or word die you have, and it will still look really ghoul!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend and we'll see you soon for the new October release, plus a blog hop!!!!
