Snowflakes

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, here today to share a winter card with you.
Ya'll, I love all things snow and this set of snowflakes are so gorgeous! I own lots of snowflake sets and I think these are the prettiest! They are a must have!
And you can save 10% off your order by using my code TJ10Ceal

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller and of course these gorgeous Snowflakes set of 9. I arranged them on the panel, picked them up on the lid of the MISTI and then inked them up with Versamark ink to emboss them with white embossing powder. After they cooled down I created the background using distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch blending them with Life Changing Brushes by Picket Fence Studios. The greeting is a single stamp, Snowflakes Fall I also embossed it with white embossing powder so it would stand out against the background.
To finish the card I added a couple snowflake sequins and rhinestones.

TJ Inkspirations: Cling Wrap Shimmers

I have been playing with this technique for a few weeks and it's about time I shared it with you! This is an idea from long ago that we are making fresh and new by using the Technique Junkies Shimmering Bliss Sprays. The actual technique takes just moments to do, but you need patience with the drying time. Trust me, it's worth it!

As always, you can purchase the sprays for $4.99 per spray, or if you are a "Gotta Have it All" crafter, you can save $25.00 with the "Get it All" Spray Bundle . At only $99.00 for all 25 Sprays, you save you 20%! It is a great thing to put on your Christmas List!

Don't forget out annual clearance sale.I have a huge collection of overstock stamps -- both cling-mountedand unmounted - at terrific prices. Many of them are marked down 50% or more. Here are the links to the sale:

Shimmering Christmas Tree

Twelve days until Christmas.  And here I am with another Christmas card.  I'm sure there are some last-minute crafters out there, looking for card ideas.  If you like sparkle and shimmer, this is it....
I used Technique Junkies stamps Christmas In Dots and All Is Calm.
I created the background on watercolor paper..  I rubbed distress inks in broken china, mermaid lagoon, and salty ocean.  Then I spritzed it with Shimmering Bliss Sprays in Dolphin's Cove, Lapis Lazuli, and a little Mardi Gras Purple.  The shimmer!!!  Oh, my.

I dried it bone dry with my heat tool, then embossed the
Christmas In Dots in silver, and while it was out, I embossed the verse All Is Calm onto eggplant card stock.

I layered the panel onto silver sparkle card stock, then onto an eggplant card.  I used foam tape to add the verse to the front.  I kept un-embellished, with the exception of one gem piece with the verse.
I wish it had photographed better, so you could appreciate the shimmer and shine between the Shimmering Bliss and the silver embossing and glitter card stock.  Difficult to capture on camera.

Did you know there is a mega stamp sale at TJ right now?  Huge bargains on cling mount and bare rubber stamps.  You can check it out HERE.

Mistletoe Christmas

It's a simple card, but oh so pretty! I am loving this Mistletoe stamp from TJ. It is very striking for a small stamp.

I started with a cream colored A2 card base. I added a panel of olive green CS, a piece of burgundy dotted paper, and a decorative die cut from the same olive green CS.

For the image, I stamped Mistletoe (SD745) with Memento Olive Grove Ink, then colored the "berries" (yeah, I know they are supposed to be white, but I took some creative license, lol) and bow with a SU! Marker in Bravo Burgundy. This was done on the same cream colored CS as used in the base and cut with a decorative die. The stamped panel was then added to the card.

It is a quick card to make, and I love it's simplistic design.

COUNTRY CHURCH IN DOUBLES

Hi there Junkies!!!

Can you handle a couple of more Christmas cards?  I know you're all probably ready to see the end of Christmas card posts, so don't shoot me...I'm bringing you my last Christmas card post...PROMISE.   (But, I love making Christmas cards...I really do).

In my last few posts, I've been showing you two cards using one stamp and it's a way to get double the value for your stamps and helps cut down on time making cards.  That's a win/win.

If you like the stamps I've used here and would like to purchase them or any others in the Technique Junkies Stamps store, please go ahead and use my personal code (TJ10CHERI) at checkout for a 10% reduction on your entire order of stamps and other products.

The stamps I used for both of these cards are "Country Church" and a sentiment from "Gifts of Christmas Set of 5".  Country Church is a great Christmas stamp, but it has unlimited possibilities such as a wedding card, baptism, anniversary, sympathy or perhaps a birthday card for someone.  Lots of mileage can be gained from that stamp.  It's a beauty.

To get the image results shown here, using my MISTI, I stamped the church in bright dye color inks on a white card stock panel.  Leaving the stamp in the same position on the MISTI, and without cleaning the stamp, I took a darker ink (Clair) and inked the stamp in various places along the edges and within the image itself.  Then, without cleaning the stamp again, I inked the stamp one more time with the same bright color, but just in the center area, and stamped again.  The results were stunning!!!  The inks trick the eye into seeing depth and layers of texture.

The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Give this technique a try and have some creative fun.  Don't forget, you have my coupon code if you'd like some new stamps and products for yourself.

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Good Morning!!!!

Have you got all your Holiday Cards finished?

I'm just about done, which is good because with Canada Post on Strike, it could take until next Christmas to get them delivered!!!!

I made this pretty card for a special someone!!! I have some people in my life who save each and every card i make them, so I like to go all out when creating a card for them.

For this card I focused on Heat Embossing

I used the Following Stamps:

Birches ( one of my FAVE TJ stamps!)

I added a blue frame for a little contrast and to form a Shadow box so I could add some pretty gold glass glitter!!!!

LOVEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
