Pretty Pots

Have you all been enjoying the new stamps for March? I am loving all the beautiful flowers. One of my favorites from the release is Pretty Pots. Another favorite is In Full Bloom with all those great sentiments!

So I've been happily playing with the two sets and created a fun card that I can't wait to share with you!

To begin, I stamped the Pretty Pots (S808) on a piece of ivory CS using Memento Ink in Desert Sand. I trimmed down the piece, matted it with kraft CS, then attached it to a brown A2 card base. 

On another piece of ivory CS, I stamped the sentiment from In Full Bloom (SS105) using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I also stamped the background again (in Desert Sand) and trimmed out three of the little pots. I colored the pots then added some Flowersoft (Summer) for dimensional flowers.

Using a die, I cut out the decorative frame for the sentiment and added some foam tape to the back. Using some very awesome Glitter Gel Pens from Kaisercraft, I outlined the sentiment. The panel was then attached to the card base, and the pots attached to that with some clear dimensional tape.

Just look at the glitter and dimension on these close-ups!

I had so much fun making this card. I can't wait to come up with other projects using these stamp sets.

Here is a card I created using the new stamp "Dogwood Background"  designed by Janine Tinklenberg of Mitten State Stamps.   

I stamped the image with a light gray ink and used PrismaColor Pencils to color it.  I added acrylic paint splatters and a few clear dew drops around the image.  The sentiment is from the set "Sentimental Sayings".

March Release Encore!

Morning!!!!

I'm going to keep this post short and sweet as I've been report writing all wee and it has left me with a lovely pain between my shoulder blades. 

I wanted to feature a couple of the newly released stamps because they are still on sale!!!

I coloured the Tulip Background in a little different colour combination to what has been showcased and then I fussy cut the image for a different look!

 I enjoyed colouring this pretty image. The lady is lovely Crowned in curls

I used the Scribble Background to mimic the shape of her beautiful curls!!!!

This card uses Pretty Pots stamp set and Things I Want To Do stamp set. It takes just two stamp impressions and then some splash of color to finish up. I chose to use alcohol markers and practically no multiple of colors on each pretty pot. That's it! Pretty simple.

Sometimes you just need a quick and easy card to make somebody feel better.

Details:

Stamp Floral Dot Background on pink cardstock in Cherry Ink, use your MISTI to get a perfect impression.

Stamp Get Well Soon in Chocolate Ink.

Die-cut panel and adhere it to a white card base.

Add White and Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo drops to embellish.

Dog Hair

One of the fun things about art is that you can create your own world ... so when I thought about today's cards, I decided that in my world ... dogs would be green (for some non-traditional St. Patrick's Day cards I wanted to get in the mail).

I combined the cute puppy from I Woof You with the Dog Hair Sentiment.  

You can see below how I performed a little stamp surgery, so I could stamp the puppy without his sentiment (and easily use my MISTI to return the sentiment to its place if I want to).

I did my second puppy card in a lime green.

I couldn't resist adding a little paper punched party hat ... doesn't he just looked thrilled.
