Groovy Christmas

When I saw the current Fusion Card Challenge, I knew I had the perfect stamps in my Technique Junkies Stash.

I pulled out my Groovy Christmas and stamped it in Nocturne Ink on watercolor paper and clear embossed.  Then I painted a watercolor rainbow for an abstract look using the colors from the Bus.

I wanted to add some of the swirly effect from the Inspiration Photo, so I added stenciled corners using the Lace Doily Stencil to give it more of that Boho feel.

Love this groovy design for one of my holiday cards.

Alcohol Ink Splash

The background for this card was created on glossy card stock dripped with alcohol inks and moved around by using a tool to blow air to push the alcohol inks around.

I used Vintage Lighthouse and Make a Splash to create this card.   Both stamps are Technique Junkies June release stamps.  I colored the lighthouse with my Copic markers.

Sunday Underwater Scene

A lovely Sunday morning to you!  Lynda Joy here on the TJ blog.  It's my turn to post on the blog today.  I have a card made from one of our June release stamps, Underwater Borders SS107.

I kept it a simple, single-layer card.  I Stamped one of the scenes from the Underwater Borders set onto a desert storm A2 card front, using antique linen distress ink.  I used a light ink, as I wanted to color the image in the no-line fashion.

Inside

I colored the scene with colored pencils, then hand-lettered the verse onto the card.

Inside, I simply stamped one of the other scenes from this same set of three underwater border scenes onto a panel of blue card stock and attached it to the inside.  I left room for a personal note.

I love each of these beautifully drawn scenes, and they are so fun to color.

Vintage Lighthouse

Hello Junkies! 

It's Ceal, here to share a card with you today using one of our new release stamps, Vintage Lighthouse. You can save 10% on this stamp and your entire order by using my code TJ10Ceal.

To create this card, I started with a top folding Black Onyx card base and a watercolor paper panel. To create the background I used the Miami Vice and the Dolphin Cove Shimmering Bliss sprays. I sprayed them together on my craft mat and the dipped the bottom of the piece of watercolor paper in them. Next I stamped the lighthouse image in black and then used a rectangle die to cut it out and placed it back in using foam tape so it popped up a little. 

I love the look of crashing waves made by the Shimmering Bliss.

Enjoy Every Moment

I don't know about you, but I have a plethora of scrapbook paper. I started out as a scrapbooker and eased into cardmaking. With both hobbies, though, I found that I absolutely love beautiful paper. While I don't do as much scrapbooking as I'd like to these days (I'll get back to it eventually), I still drool over some of the papers I've accumulated. 

As I was fondling some of my stash recently, I came across a few pieces that I knew would be a lovely background for greeting cards. So I made up several backgrounds and attached them to card bases. This particular one kept calling my name. I didn't want to add too much more since it was a busy background already, so I just added a a little white paint to create a more solid background for the sentiment stamp, Enjoy Every Moment (SDX146), which was then stamped in a coordinating ink. What do you think?

One of the things I love about this sentiment is that it can be used for a myriad of occasions...birthday, anniversary, wedding, retirement, bon voyage, promotion.
