Snarky Mouth

 I almost think this Woodstock Girl stencil from A Colorful Life Designs was made for this sentiment! Don't we all have a little problem holding things in sometimes? I know I do (occasionally). The background was created using a Distress Oxide dip technique and the stencil and My Mouth image were placed right over the dried colorful cardstock.

TJ Inkspirations: Shimmering Stenciled Joseph's Coat

 With Valentine's Day a month away, it is time for a new kit, one that is stunningly contrasting. Before I go too far, let me show you the cards from the video and kits:

Starfish or snow?

 I think so many of us can relate to this in the North! Snow is great, for a while, then we all want it to go away! The Snow Somewhere Else stamp was paired with the Starfish from the Mermaid Kisses Set for this deep take on the stamp. I hope that, where ever you are, that you are surrounded by Starfish and not too much snow!

Coffee Causes my Soul to Dance

 

I know a few people who are coffee lovers and drinking it causes their soul to dance.  I'm one of them.  For others, it's the smell of fresh brewed coffee, even when they do not like to drink coffee.  

Instructions for creating my background is below.

A while back, I made a tutorial showing how to colour block using Aurora Flakes.  These Flakes can be purchased for 10% off simply by using my code above. 

Instructions for Making my Card

Creating My Background:

1. Cut white cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and rub your embossing buddy all over the cardstock.
2. Using VersaMark, stamp Whimsical Coffee Background out and cover with clear embossing powder.
3. Using Distress Oxides in colours picked raspberry and fossilized amber, I used my Ink Blending Brushes to blend the colour onto my cardstock.
4. Spritz background with Shimmering Iridescent Bliss Topping and wipe colour away with a baby wipe.
   
5. Once fully dried, iron the decorated front by placing a copy paper on the bottom of your image, and one over top.  Use dry setting.  You will see the embossing powder stick to the top sheet, and that's a good thing.
6. Next, colour block using my video for directions.
7. Finally, add Soul to Dance to the card front.
   

 In the following weeks you will see this same background using different colours of Distress Oxides.

This stamp just speaks to me. The God is Within Her stamp is so solidly representative of meditative prayer. Part of the January 2021 New Stamp Release from Technique Junkies. The background uses the Twisted Strands Stamp from TJ. Everything was colored with Copic markers.

God Is Within

Hello!  Lynda Joy here, with a card using a fabulous stamp from the Technique Junkies January release.

This stamp is so perfect for the times in which we are living now, don't you think?  The verse is a positive reminder of who is in control, and from where our strength comes!

 

Inside

I used the God Is Within Her stamp, and an older stamp, Dogwood branch on my card.  I drew the lines by hand with a .01 micron pen.
