Slimline - Hooray!

The Technique Junkies Slimline Candles are perfectly paired with the Hooray stamp for a long, fun birthday card! These candles work well in mini-slimline and A2 formats, too. Hooray!

TJ Inkspiration: Ink Pushed Ribbon Celebration Card

So Easy - So Colorful!
Today we have a very fast video for using a nearly-waterless watercolor technique we are calling Ink Pushing. By simply using the dye ink from the stamped image (plus a tiny bit of help from the lid of the ink pad for color intensity), creating a pretty ribbon background is easy-peasy.

We don't have a kit for you today, but here are the links for the items used in the tutorial:

The video is here:

We will be in Columbia SC this weekend for the
Stamp Scrap Art Tour Stamp Convention.
Hope to see you there!

Rock Star

   Hello Friends!

I'm up today on the Technique Junkies blog, and am sharing some cards using stamps from the February release.

Here's what I made:

The first card was stamped onto white cardstock, using Catherine Pooler Midnight Archival Ink. Some Grunge dots were stenciled onto the panel using Ink Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks.

This card was created exactly like the first card, but the stenciling was done with the Falling Stars stencil.

The last card was stamped onto patterned paper. The Slimline Candles was stamped onto white cardstock, then again onto patterned papers. The patterned paper candles were paper pieced over top of the white panel, and popped up in front of the band image.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Don't forget!!! You can save 10% (on any order that isn't already discounted), by entering TJ10Patti at checkout!

Hugs and smiles,

Quick birthday cards

Greetings, crafty friends! It's Pam here and my day to post.
For my first card, I used the Sparkling Celebration for the background stamped in black. The sentiment is from the fabulous Inside Out: Young at Heart, Set of 10. On the inside it says, "(slightly older in other places)." Simple, quick and monochromatic.

My second card features the Ribbon Celebration
and the sentiment is from Sister Birthday, Set of 2. Another quick, monochromatic card. I just love these stamps as they pack a punch and they're quick to create!

Just a Number...

Our Slimline candles work so well on this mini-slimline card! Our snarky Inside Out: Young at Heart stamps are great just stamped right over the top.

Birthday Wishes

Slim Line cards are all the rage right now.    I used Slimline Candles  for the focal image, and part of Kisses and Wishes.  I colored the candles with my Copic markers. I used a white gel pen  for the white squiggles.

And did you know Technique Junkies has a sizable collection of Birthday Stamps?  Use my special code to get 10% of those (unless they are from the February release) -- TJ10Judy.  This is a good month to gain several birthday stamps for your collection!

And if you have decided you cannot bear without owning them all this month, here is the Gotta Have It All link!! What a tremendous savings.

You can save 10% off anything else that is not currently on sale. Great deal for you!

Have a wonderful day and get inky!!

Kisses and Wishes Birthday Shaker Card

Good morning! It's Holly posting today and I'm sharing a fun birthday card that I made with new stamps from Technique Junkies.  I started by stamping the new Sparkling Celebration background with some blue ink onto some matching blue cardstock.  Then I stamped the new Kisses and Wishes with the same blue ink onto white cardstock and loosely cut it out with scissors.  The sentiment was glued to the blue background and then I placed this panel inside a clear envelope.  Before I sealed it up, I poured in some blue/green, gold, and clear sequins.  Then I glued this filled clear envelope to a white card base.  It's such a fun and easy way to make a shaker card!

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You'll save 10% off your order, which means you can buy a few extra stamps, right?  LOL
