Delicate Bouquet

Hello, Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter up today! Today we say goodbye to May as tomorrow is the first day of June. Here's one more card from the May 2002 release using the new Delicate Bouquet stamp. Check out my YouTube Video of how I created this card:
To create my card I first heat embossed the Delicate Bouquet stamp using black embossing powder onto a piece of Hammermill Premium Color Copy Cover paper (80 lbs.) I then used foam domed blending tools to ink blend a rainbow background using Catherine Poolers inks (Cummerbund, Chiffon, Catching Rays and Pucker up). I framed it using a die from my stash cut with pink pearlescent card stock. I then cut out the sentiment using a die from my stash. I adhered everything onto a black A2 card base.

Thanks for checking out my card and the blog!

You're PURRFECT

Isn't this Cat Lady just the greatest? She is so much fun and great to send to the cat lady in your life. The background is the Rose Cluster Stencil from @acolorfullifedesignsstencils. Stamps may be found here:

Camo Soldier

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  The soldiers in the armed forces are on my mind today, and this new stamp set from Technique Junkies, Thank You For Your Service, is perfect for creating cards for them.  I stamped the soldier with a kraft ink right onto some kraft cardstock, and then I stamped the sentiment with a black ink on top of the stamped soldier.

The background was created by using the Layered Camouflage stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.  I used a combination of kraft, olive green, and black inks with the three stencils to create that camo background.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You will find hundreds of wonderful stamps, stencils, and Shimmering Bliss sprays for your crafting projects.  To all those who have served and are currently serving, thank you.

Cats and Flowers

For the Design Team today sharing a couple

of cards made.

First one is the 'Cat Lady'

using the Purrfect stamp

I cut an oval out of cardstock and placed

the Cat Lady in behind after I coloured her

splattered a bit of paint (of course masked the image)

Layered the saying which has some raffia

layered behind.

Just remember - we are ALL PURRFECT in our own way.

Next up is the new Magnolia Branch

Did this as a slim line card - which is 3 1/2 x 8 1/2

Using my pencil crayons to colour in and added some

Shimmering Bliss on the flowers for some sparkle

TJ Inkspiration: 24 Carat Wildflower Silhouettes

Sparkling Gorgeous Color!
Today's tutorial and kits were inspired by Tracy Shultz. She was working as a Demo artist in the Technique Junkies tradeshow booth earlier this year, and she blew mw away with this idea! I knew when I saw it that I needed to share the technique.

We have a couple of kits for you today in case you would like to make your own sparkling creations. All of the pieces, parts and kits may be found HERE.

One Great Dude

Hello, friends!
I'm here today with two fun cards that I made, using a great new stamp set, Stud Muffins, from the May Release. This set has both images and 3 fun sentiments!

Here's my first card:

Is this fun, or what?
The image was colored with Copics and fussy cut.
The 'frame' is a die cut, and the sentiment was stamped, matted, and popped up onto the card front.
I think I'll go back and gloss up his eyeglasses before this one gets mailed - forgot to do that!

And here's card number two:

For this card, the image was stamped onto a white focal panel - face, arms and shoes were colored with Copic markers. I then stamped again onto patterned paper and the shirt and pants were fussy cut and adhered over top of the image. Using an Ink Blending Brush and some Distress Oxide Ink, I stenciled a background, using A Colorful Life Designs Diamond Fade Stencil. The focal panel was adhered to a rust colored card base.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Don't forget!!! You can save 10% (on any order that isn't already discounted), by entering TJ10Patti at checkout!

Be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and do a little crafty shopping!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Thank You for Your Service

Today I am showcasing what I think is my favorite of the new releases this month of May. Thank You for Your Service is a very important stamp set. A great way to thank all that serve and protect our country. I used some distressed looking scrap designer papers, burlap and a flag charm to finish it off. Head over to Technique Junkies and use my code TJ10Pam to get 10% off.
