The Big Wave!

You can't get any simpler making this card using the Big Wave #S970 from the Technique Junkies June 2022 release and the sentiment stamp Feel Most Alive #SDX194 release last July.

I stamped the wave using Versafine Clair in the color Twilight then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I laid down the mask I made from the stamp and then simply used my Pan pastels to color the sky and then the water.  I shimmered up the water using a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer in "Glitter Gloss."

I embossed the sentiment using Versamark ink and white embossing powder and hand drew in the seagulls after cutting the panel out with a die from my stash and gluing it down to a white card base.

Process video below.

Sunset Sentiments - Beautiful Sunset

Hello, Tracy Shultz, the Hopeful Crafter, here with a few cards that feature the new Sunset Sentiments, Set of 5, from Technique Junkies. These wonderful sentiments are perfect for summertime cards or cards for any occasion. This stamp set is part of the June new release from Technique Junkies: https://techniquejunkies.com/sunset-sentiments-set-of-5/

To create my card, I used the Turbulent Waters stencil by A Colorful Life Designs for the ocean. I ink blended over the stencil using Catherine Pooler inks in the colors Cummerbund and Serenade. I used a piece of masking paper for the sun, then I ink blended the horizon using Catherine Pooler inks Chiffon and Catching Rays. I removed the mask and used Chiffon Ink to make the sun yellow. I then stamped the sentiment above the sun. I used a piece of gold foil card stock as my mat layer. I used a stitched rectangle die for both the panel and the mat layer. I adhered the ink blended panel and the mat layer to a gold A2 (4.25" x 5.5") card base.

For my second card, I started by ink blending my background with Catherine Pooler inks: Pucker Up, Catching Rays and Chiffon. I then use the Landscape Rays stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and Catching Rays Ink. I then stamped the sentiment onto the panel. I used a die to cut out the panel and the mat layer of gold card stock. I adhered everything to a gold A2 card base.

Big Waves of Grief

Our gorgeous new Big Wave stamps works so well with the many sentiments released in June - including the Waves of Grief samp. I tried to enhance the stormy feel of this card using the Cloud Edger Stencil. All available here:

Waves or Tentacles?

The Tentacles Stencil from @acolorfullifedesigns has always reminded me of sea waves, so I though it was perfect with Shimmering Bliss (Ocean Depth Color) and the Dance with the Waves Sentiment.

TJ Inkspiration: Glittery Sea Frame

Faux Glitter Markers?
The Nuvo Glitter Markers were discontinued by the company and I miss them terribly! BUT - I have a great way for you to use your markers on hand to create "Faux" Glitter Markers that are gorgeous and easy to use (and using what you have is always a bonus!). Today I have a 5 minute tutorial to show you just that.

I created a little kit for you so you can save a little money on the pieces and parts, if you are interested. I also placed a few extra stamps into the category that I feel work great with the Sea Frame in case you want more choices with what to use with the frame. All of the pieces, parts and kit may be found HERE.
The video is here:

Sunset Sentiments

Hello, friends!

Today, I am sharing three cards that I created using some new stamps from the June Release. I hope you like them! This is such a beautiful release.

Here's my first card:

Wow! What a beautiful wave. This card features Big Wave, and Sunset Sentiments. The wave was inked with some pretty Distress Oxide Ink, some blending toward the top with an Ink Blending Brush and a beautiful sentiment finished this card nicely.

And here's card number two:

This card features Pier Sunset, and Sunset Sentiments. The focal image was colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped with black ink, and Dolphin Cove Shimmering Bliss was spritzed on to finish the panel. The panel was backed with some silver metallic cardstock (which didn't photograph well), and adhered to a black card base. Another easy, pretty card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
