Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I'd pop in... just in case you needed a little humor today.  

Housework is never fun! Why do housework, when you can make cards, right?  Well I couldn't escape it forever, so we had a clean-a-thon this weekend.  The only dog hair in our house is on the dog at the moment.  I love this new stamp from Technique Junkies.   It fits me perfectly.  

The top card reminds me of when you wash the windows and it leaves streaks.  At least when the sunshines it creates a beautiful rainbow.  😂   The second card was a "mistake" when I was trying to make a coffee background. I thought it looked like hair.... so I used it for this card.

Neptune likes Glitter

 I find this Neptune’s Mond mesmerizing and I think there is so much that can be done with it. Here, I paired it with the new sentiment this month called Glitter. I fit my glitter in as her eye shadow. I love to cut my sentiments it..especially when I want to use them but they don’t fit as stamped….voila! Cut them up!

New Years !!!!

  Well - it is getting close to a New Year !!!

Where has the time gone - I know alot went into making so many Fab 

cards with Technique Junkies

Today I am sharing two New Years cards I made with the HNY stamp

Firstly, this gold and navy card.

I punched out both sides with the bubbly look.

The Happy New Year is embossed with a gold glittery powder

Also did the edges...then lots of layers with the gold and blue

Some gold thread on the side...and done.

The next one was a bit of a quicky.

mobossed in silver onto a greyish cardstock. Then some

confetti looking glitter glued on.  Very quick to make but 

quite festive looking too.

I  used the lady from The Rules.  She is colored with Copic markers.  Then I used glitter pens to add a clear glitter sheen -- of course!  The sentiment Glitter is perfect for this image!

Trio of Tea Time Cards

 

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  I'm taking a break from Christmas cards today so I can share these cards that I created with the gorgeous new Tea Collage stamp from Technique Junkies.  I've done these in three different ways to show the versatility of this great background stamp.

On the brown monochromatic card above, I stamped the Tea Collage with a cinnamon ink onto some cinnamon cardstock.  I then blended some cinnamon ink around the edges so it looks like the cup of tea is glowing in the middle.  Then I stamped this Tea Collage again onto some white cardstock and cut out the tea bag.  This sentiment from the Typewriter Set fits perfectly onto the tea bag, so I stamped it in a darker brown ink and then adhered this to the card.

For the ombre card below, I stamped the Tea Collage with black ink onto some white cardstock.  After the ink dried, I started blending some distress inks onto the panel to get that gorgeous yellow/orange/brown ombre background.  I chose these colors because I was thinking of lemons (yellow), honey (orange), and tea (brown).

For my third card, I went completely outside the box.  I had been watching The Golden Girls on tv and I was in that nostalgic vintage-y mood, so I colored this Tea Collage with some muted greens and oranges and browns.  The cinnamon sticks are bolder than the rest of the card because I wanted to bring your eye up to the sentiment, which is from the Butter My Butt set.

I know many of you are making Christmas cards. I know that I am. I love this design because it has a WOW factor and is EASY to make. As a bonus it uses up decorative paper in an efficient way.
