Merry Be Your Christmas

 What a great sentiment for Christmas, right? Merry, peace, Love and Blessings all in one. To create my card, I used two Patterned Papers for the background, and added some sequins. This is an easy wa to create beautiful Christmas cards! The Merry Be Your Christmas sentiment is here:

Wouldn't Peace On Earth Be Amazing? | Stylized Peace Dove | Square Holiday Card

 

Happy Saturday y'all.
Don't you think that "Peace on Earth" would be the best holiday present ever?
I know I wish for this day. 

Today I have a beautiful square holiday card idea that, honestly, can be used for any of the holidays - Christmas, Hanukkah, and even New Year's Day - just by changing the sentiment on the inside of the card.  

• I stamped the dove and the sentiment from the Stylized Peace Dove set, on white cardstock, with the sentiment stamped between the dove's wings.  Then I used a 4" square die to die-cut the image.  
  
  Then I stamped just the dove on another piece of white cardstock, fussy cut the dove, added stickles to the wings, and set it aside to dry.
   
• I made a top-folding, 6" square card base using white cardstock and adhered a piece of blue cardstock to the card front.    
  I also cut another piece, 4.5" x 4.5", which I put to the side to be used in a bit.     
   
  I found paper in my stash that had been embossed with snowflakes - perfect - and I cut a piece, 5.75" square, and adhered it to the blue cardstock. 
  You can also use an embossing folder if you have one.
   
  I adhered the dove/sentiment piece to the 4.5" blue cardstock and then to the center of the snowflake paper on my card front. 
   
• To finish off the card front -
  
  I put foam squares on the back of the fussy-cut dove and adhered it to the card front - making the dove look 3D.  
  
  
• I left the inside blank so it can be used for a message on the inside.

TJ Inkspiration: 63 Autumn Stamps in One Set

 

63 Stamps? One Set? HOW???

I just had to have these sweet stamps in the Technique Junkies store! This set has 63 RUBBER stamps that are on foam index-mounts. It's a lttle strange for TJ to offer stamps from other companies...but I fell in love with these, and I love the Aladine brand. And the whole set is only $9.99. Hanging With My Gnomies

Zen Christmas

Good Wednesday! I hope that everyone is settling into October and enjoying the fall weather! Today I am sharing the new Zen Trees Background. I paired it with a portion of the previously released sentiment Vertical Merry Christmas.

The trees were stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored with a variety of colors. Once dry, I used an embossing folder for some fun texture and then rubbed Inca Gold in gold over the embossed areas. The sentiment is on dimensionals.

Inked with distress inks - then used my pens to colour in the holly and berries

Layered onto gold paper.

The saying is from an older set Scripted Holidays also embossed and edged in gold

 ext up I used the Three Wise Men stencil which went well 

with the new Christmas Blessings stamp

And Lastly is the Zen Trees Background stamped and embossed in white on navy paper - fussy cut out - layered onto sparkly silver
