Red Glittered Christmas

Our Scripted Merry Christmas stamp looks so pretty atop the Holly and Berries stamp on the bottom! A little glitter ribbon and Berries colored with a glitter pen adds sparkle. This is such an easy, sparkly Christmas Card!

Yes, You Can Make a Holiday Card in 5 Minutes (or less)

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!  Ity's Design Team Member Michael here and, yes, you read the title of this blog post correctly.  Holiday cards in 5 minutes (or less). I made these two Christmas cards using embossing folders from my stash and the new Scripted Merry Christmas

Let me explain how...start the clock.

Card 1 - Holly Leaves Background

  • I made an A2 card base using white cardstock and adhered a piece of Christmas paper to the front.
  • I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, embossed it with the Holly Embossing Folder (37-1987) from Cuttlebug/Provocraft (retired), and adhered it to the card front.
  • Using an oval scalloped die, I die-cut a piece of red mirror cardstock.
  • Next, I stamped Scripted Merry Christmas on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it using an oval die, adhered it to my red scalloped oval piece, and then to the card front.
  • To finish off the card, I added a few red enamel dots.
Card 2 - Christmas Ornaments Card

  • I made an A2 card base using white cardstock and adhered a piece of Christmas paper to the front.
  • I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, embossed it with the Christmas Ornaments Embossing Folder (37-1989) from Cuttlebug/Provocraft (retired), layered it on a piece of white fun foam, and then adhered it to the card front.
  • Using a scalloped circle die, I die-cut a piece of red mirror cardstock.
  • Next, I stamped Scripted Merry Christmas on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it using a circle die, adhered it to my red scalloped oval piece, and then to the card front.
  • Because of all the texture in the embossed image, I did not add any enamel dots.
I really made these two cards in less than 5 minutes.  I love how the embossing folder kicks them up a notch and by using a simple sentiment like the Scripted Merry Christmas, you have a card worthy of sending to anyone on your list.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.  I'd love to know if you like this idea and if you use embossing folders for your holiday cards.  If you like the Scripted Merry Christmas stamp or anything else on the Technique Junkies website, you can save 10% at checkout by using my code - TJ10Michael.

Until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.

Christmas Spirit

Christmas is right around the corner!  I got into the holiday spirit making this bottle shaped card, using the fun new Bottle Won't Open stamp as a label.  I printed a photo of a bottle from my computer and used it as a template for cutting the card shape out of dark red cardstock.  Stamped the sentiment on mottled DSP, colored the holly leaves and added some red gems for the berries.  Used a small piece of gold paper stamped with Holly and Berries on the neck of the bottle.  Finished with some gold matting on the label and a couple of gold leaf stickers.  Sponged the edges of the bottle with Highland Heather to add dimension.  Here are links to these stamps:

The best things in life!

Good day! Today I am sharing the new sentiment Old, Loved and Rescued. for this card, I cut the sentiment apart and paired it with the sweet dog from Please Forgive Me. I found this super fun plaid designer paper in my scraps pile and thought it'd look cute with this pup. I colored the pup with Zig watercolor brush markers and cut out with a stitched die and popped on dimensionals. The sentiment is popped up, too.
Today is the last day to score the new releases at 15% off. Use my code TJ10Pam for all your other goodies.
Look at all this fun stuff!

Christmas is coming !

Today where I am sharing a few more Christmas cards I have made with a couple of the new releases this month.

First up using up some of my Christmas scrap paper

I did the background in herring bone design

Embossed the 'bottle won't open' saying in gold

and gold around the edges

Added gold corners from a die cut I have and the saying

is popped up a little

Next up - using scraps again - This quick and easy design

Using the new Scripted Merry Christmas embossed onto the cardstock

Last one to share today is again using the 'bottle won't open' stamp along with an older stamp 'the happy housewife

Emobossed in Gold - then the background was embossed with a snowflake folder.  The lovely lady was fussy cut out and layered on.

The look on her face would be the same as mine if I couldn't get my wine bottle open  LOL.
