Pine Bough Christmas Blessings Card

 

Hello everyone and welcome to another Saturday card idea with Design Team Member Michael.  I had to make a few more Christmas cards and I made this one using the Pine Bough stamp - that is part of the December Inventory Reduction Sale - and I paired it with Christmas Blessings.  Using an embossing folder from my stash, for the background, cuts down on a lot of time.  

• I started by making a top-folding A2 card base with red cardstock.
• For my background, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, embossed it using the Distressed Frame embossing folder, and adhered it to my card front. 
• I stamped Pine Bough and Christmas Blessings on a piece of white cardstock, colored in the image using some fine-tip markers, and then die-cut it using a 2.75" x 4" stitched rectangle die.  
• I adhered this to a piece of red cardstock and then to the center of the card using foam tape to raise it off the card front.  

Done!  

I love the simplicity of this card and using a white background really makes the Pine Bough image pop.  If you love these stamps, the Pine Bough is part of the December Inventory Reduction and is 40% off.

Lighthouses

Happy Wednesday!

I think this is such a great stamp! I stamped it in black and used red and blue Zig watercolor brush markers to add some interest. The sentiment is from Lighthouse sentiments (not part of the sale). You can use my code on top of the 40% TJ10Pam and get 10% off the items not in the sale!

Creativity Challenge - Glitter, Sparkle & Shine

Hello Junkies!

Today’s card features three rubber stamps that are on the 40% OFF December Inventory Reduction Sale and it was designed with the  “Glitter, Sparkle & Shine” creativity challenge in mind. It’s a wild card! 

Supplies used:

- Red Card base

- Yellow card stock

- Black glitter card stock 

- White piece of card stock to stamp Picnic princess

- Scissors, adhesive, large acrylic block or stamping platform

- Black and red ink pads

- Black & red enamel embellishments or gems.

- Nuvo aqua shimmer pen and markers

- Ranger glossy accents & Red glitter

- Gold ribbon sticker pieces (used on the end of the rugs) or check your stash for shiny gold ribbon you could use for the rug fringe.

- Foam 

- 3 Stamp sets:  Leopard, Set of 6 , Picnic Princess, French Sentiments, Set of 4

Here’s how I made it:

First I stamped Picnic Princess on white card stock, colored her with markers and cut her out. Then I added red glitter to her shoes, used my Nuvo aqua shimmer pen to her sunglasses, and glossy accents to her pants.  (Set aside to dry). Isn’t she wild!

Next, I stamped the leopard print on the yellow card stock. I used a very large acrylic block for this stamp and reinked several times stamping around the bottom and across the card. I also stamped the Picnic Princess on the yellow card stock and colored it in with black marker.  You’ll be adding the same image on top soon.

Continuing with the yellow card stock I stamped the Mon Ami stamp in red ink, from the French sentiments set of 4    

* Make sure the ink is dry on both the yellow card stock and your cut out picnic princess before proceeding or you’ll end up with smears like I did! I had several smears of ink that were too much to erase so I used a black marker and added a lot of tiny random dots.  It’s not necessary to do that, but if you feel like getting crazy with your marker - go for it!

Now let’s put it all together.  

- Layer the yellow onto your slightly larger piece of  black glitter card stock, then adhere the black piece to your red card base.

- Add foam pieces behind your cut out Picnic princess and adhere that over the same black image on the yellow piece.

- Time to bling this up!  Add some gold stickers, gold garland or gold ribbon to the ends of the rug. No gold? No problem. Get something funky out of your stash to add to the rug fringes or glitter them up.  Have fun. Be creative!

- Add some random black gems here and there and add red gems for earrings!

Clap For Yourself - Quick & Simple Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafty Friends - 

I know you are as excited about the Giant Inventory Reduction Sale as I am! I am sharing a quick and easy fun fold card paired with the Technique Junkies, Clap stamp set available as part of this sale!! 

Split Panel Card Cutting Instructions:

Base 5 1/2 x 5 3/4  Score at 4 1/4 on the 5 3/4 side (Navy Blue)

Inside Card Mat 4 x 5 1/4 (Vanilla)

Base Second Panel 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 (Navy Blue)

Panel Layer 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 (Gold)  (2)

Pattern Paper Layer 1 x 5 (2)

Vanilla Card Stock (for sentiment) - Rectangle Die

Navy Blue Card Stock - Scalloped Edges Die 

Cut the card stock as noted above and adhered the layers assembling the card. The patterned paper is by Mintay Paper, Happy Birthday. I stamped the Clap stamp on the vanilla card stock and again on patterned paper / gold card stock. I paper pieced the ladies dress. The image was colored using Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Makers. I added a few pink dots to finish off the card. 

The sentiment is uplifting!! I love the color combo and how quick this card came together.
