Watercolor Leaf Card

Greetings!  Lynda Joy here, with my Technique Junkies blog post for this Sunday.  My card is a little bit different, in that I used a real leaf to create the main image.
I used a verse from the Acceptance, Respect, Peace Set of Five from the November release.

To make my card, I used Distress spray stain, and added colors to a leaf I had found on my walk.  I pressed the ink-sprayed leaf onto a piece of light kraft card stock.

When I removed the leaf, I used a water brush to pull some of the ink from the image into the areas that didn't get any color with the initial 'stamping.'

I added more distress ink and a water brush around the image to create a rough background, then added some spatters of ink.

I stamped the verse from the Acceptance, Respect, Peace Set and added it to a die frame, then layered up my card.

I hope you have been enjoying this release and the cards from our design

team.

TJ Inkspirations: Easy Copic Colored Birch Trees

Coloring birch trees in this way is so very dimensional looking! Not only that, but truly the easiest thing you can imagine - with only 3 markers, a stamp, ink and paper. I have a 2 minute video tutorial for you to follow along, and a little kit in case you would like the pieces to color your own trees.  The trees just seem to glow when colored this way...

Woodland Wonders

   Hello!

It's my day to post here on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share three fun cards that I created, using some gorgeous November release stamps!

This first card front was stamped with a beautiful cinnamon colored ink, using 'S878 Woodland Wonders'. The panel was trimmed, and adhered to a card base. The sentiment 'SD1049 Advice from the Forest' was stamped on another piece of Kraft, trimmed, matted, and adhered to the card front panel. Ta-da, and Ta-done - clean and simple card!

The next card was also super easy. I cut a panel for the front of my card, and used the 'A Colorful Life 'Paws' Stencil', and some tan ink.  In the center of this panel, I stamped 'SD1049 Advice from the Forest' in brown ink, and cut it out of the center of the panel. The focal panel was matted and adhered to the background panel. Another quick card!

Last up was this clean and simple (CAS) card, created with the 'S878 Woodland Wonders', and a great sentiment set 'SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b'. Image and sentiment were both stamped with brown ink, matted, and adhered to card base.

Technique Junkies stamps ink up beautifully, and make such nice cards!

BEAUTIFUL BIRCH

I hope everyone has been enjoying this new release! I've seen so many great card samples my mind is spinning with ideas!  I have another card to share with you using two of the new stamps, easily done with a little masking!

ADVICE FROM THE FOREST
 BIRCH TREE BORDER

To create the card, I started by making a mask of the birch trees. I stamped them in brown ink, using the mask to cover up areas so the trees filled the background. I trimmed that piece and attached it to a brown A2 card base.

I stamped the sentiment on some ivory cardstock and matted with a frayed paper, which I then attached using foam tape to give it some dimension.

I love the sentiment...especially during these crazy times...it's really GOOD advice! In case you didn't catch the deals, you can purchase the entire release which includes all 15 stamps and 2 stencils for only $99.99. That's a savings of $30.79!!!

For those of you who would love to add only a few stamps to your collection you can save an ADDITIONAL 10% off by using my special code below.

Enjoy your fall weather! It's a perfect time to spend some quality crafting time!

Til next time,

Technique Junkie November Release Cards

Today is my day to post over on the Technique Junkie blog and I am going to show you a couple of cards I designed for the November release as guest designer.
This was such a fun card to make - I used 3D-Stempel-Farbe Stamp-Paint in Rose Metallic which I picked up at Stamp Show in Collinsville, IL. about 2 years ago.  Well this was the first time I used it and won't be the last.  Using Technique Junkie Butterfly Flight Stencil I applied the paste with a crafting palette knife.  It dried pretty quickly  - then I went around the edges with some distress oxide ink.  For my focal image I used  Acceptance-Respect-Peace which is a set of 5 stamps. Using an ink that very closely matched the butterflies.  I die cut out the image . Applied a few sequins mounted the image on a layering polka dot print and then on a lavender card stock.

I loved this image from the new November Technique Junkie release , has so many possibilities.  Woodland Wonders is a full A-2 size - I stamped it twice - and it stamps so nicely.  I colored and fussy cut a few of the animals and using pop dot mounted them on the original image.  I used Santa Mail which is a set of 2 stamps.  Stamped in red, mounted on a black circle finished the card.

For my final card I used Coffee Stain. I then used First Coffee  to make an A2 card.   Stamped and then colored with copic markers the cat with her first cup of coffee..this is me in the morning, don't talk to me until I have had my coffee.. I die cut the image and mounted it on the left side of my gatefold card.

Hope you have enjoyed these three cards - they were so much fun to create with - go check them out here.

Free Speech

I used Faces of Diversity  and Acceptance Respect, Peace.   I stamped the image in my stamping platform and then spritzed the image with several shades of Shimmering Bliss.    I did the same for the small panel with the verse.

If you want to see them all here they are!  And if you just "Gotta have them all!"  You can do that too at a 25% discount making it $99 for EVERYTHING!!! Whoo hoo! The Coffee beans and the champagne flutes are stencils.
