Try That Technique

Hi, it's Beth here with a new challenge for you. Diana Enns and I challenged each other to use the Modern Art technique from the April 2005 issue. Pat played along and her card is below this post. Ladies, you rocked this week's challenge!

Playing along with us is a lot of fun, as Hetty learned today, because her card was selected from last week's participants, and now her cards will be on the Technique Junkie Yahoo Group home page for the week. Congratulations, Hetty!

The fun doesn't stop there. Pat has generously offered a tremendous sale on the 2005 issues, where you will find this technique. Please read her post below for the deets.

My card uses a wide variety of stamps, but the one I would like to bring to your attention is the Tim Holtz Tatoo stamp with the heart, which came from one of our sponsors, Croppinsville. If you love Tim Holtz, like I do, Croppinsville is the place for you!

For your chance to get on our home page, create a card using the Modern Art technique and link yourself up with Mr. Linky.

Try that Technique -- Modern Art

Today's Try that Technique is Modern Art from the April 2005 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter. I forgot all about this technique -- but I LOVE the color intensity it produces on your cards! One word of caution, though, you may want to clear emboss your whole card -- sometimes the ink can take forever to dry on this one.

My card uses a sentiment and girl stamp from Repeat Impressions. I am trying to dig deep into my stamp stash these days to find my most underused stamps...and this is one of them. Not an indictment of the stamp itself, of course. I still love these stamps as much today as the day I bought them!

Now it is your turn to Try that Technique!

Don't have this issue? No problem! You may purchase the six 2005 issues for HALF-PRICE. From now through Wednesday, April 14th, the 2005 issues are $9.00 plus postage. Email me for an invoice TODAY -- you do NOT need to be a current TJ subscriber!

Can't wait to see your art!
