Do you use your stamps to their full potential?
Today’s card features the newly released Squirrel-On-Branch-On-Branch. It’s a beautifully detailed stamp that has its own built-in frame. What do I mean by that? All you have to do is stamp a portion of the stamp, re-ink, and stamp that pinecone portion again. Repeat all the way around your card and you’ve created a winter frame you can use for other cards (stamp a bird inside the frame or Merry Christmas for example).
That is what I did on this card. After that I added some brown to the branch and pinecones with a prisma color pencil, a lighter brown to the squirrel and green to the pine needles.
Last, I used a brush that had a little leftover blue ink on it and lightly brushed over the white background areas. I used a brush with yellow to add color here and there - to add more interest to the overall scene. *Use the yellow first.
Finished with a ribbon and sentiment. The sentiment used on this card is called “small creature” . You can find it along with the entire new set here.
