Catch A Sailing Ship

Ahoy, Mateys! Janelle here today to confess that I'm a landlubber to the core, but that does not stop me from absolutely loving the newly released sea-worthy stamps! I like to see the waves come in from the ocean and sun-kissed sails on a boat so I'm super excited to share my project today!

Here's a heads up!
July released stamps are 15% off through July 8th!
No code needed!
But regular items are still 10% off with code
TJ10Janelle!

My family watched the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie recently and so our card today stirs up scenes about maps and sea-worthy ships. Wouldn't this stamp be great as an invitation for a pirate themed party?

Let's see how I made our card today. All links take you to the product on the Technique Junkies website for easy shopping.

Supplies:
Instructions:
  1. Stamp Sailing Ship Collage with black ink on white cardstock.
  2. Dilute Ultramarine Blue Color Burst with water until pale and paint around sails of the ship. Repeat with Orange Color Burst and paint around edges and corners of the stamped image. Add other colors like Crimson and Phthalo Green as accents on the ship and compass. Let dry.
  3. Rough edges with scissor blade for a distressed look.
  4. Use Golden Ochre marker to doodle around edges of the stamped image, then use blue markers making dots around the sailing ship.
  5. Glue image to 4-1/8 by 5-3/8 inch blue cardstock and then onto white cardstock folded in half for 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inch card base.

Remember to shop with a 10% discount on regular items!
