It's Thursday and, who couldn't use a little Serenity....now?  LOL!!  Always such a good joke!  I was in a bit of a water color phase and made this water colored splattered background piece.  I was also in the mood for playing around with some of the new distress inks--coral, pistachio and lagoon--such pretty colors!

I chose the Serenity Butterfly stamp to create both a back ground pattern and embellishment to finish things off.

Yes.  I'm still in my sequin phase.  #itsnotgoingtoendanytimesoon

Holly Brown: Watercolor Distress Cottage Mouse

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting, and I'm sharing this adorable Cottage Mouse card with y'all today.  I created the background by using the Watercolor Distress technique first and I let that dry completely.  Then I used the Cuttlebug Highlights technique with that piece, doing a very very subtle highlighting with a brown ink.

Faux Washi and Distress Watercolor Card and Bookmark

Today I'm sharing a project I made with some new Strong Stamps designs.I began my card design by making a Faux Washi (8-11 TJ newsletter) and attaching it to my base card. Since Faux Washi's vary in the end results, I made the background first and then selected coordinating Distress Inks to match when I painted the bookmark.

The bookmark was stamped with white embossing powder on watercolor paper and heat set. Then, I used the Distress Watercolor technique (coming up in the 12-11 TJ newsletter) to color it to match.

I added a few fibers to it, then used a Stampin' Up Word Window punch for the slot the bookmark fit into.
