Day 8 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

Today is Day 8 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas and today I have a Colorful Chris-Moose for you. This sweet stamp from the #MittenStateStamps line for Technique Junkies is a fun and cheerful way to celebrate Christmas.

I colored my moose with Copic Markers, using the same technique to make the lights in his antlers glow as I used in the Holiday Lights tutorial a few weeks ago.  Doesn't he just make you smile?
I hope you are enjoying the 30 days of Christmas -- remember that all stamps in the Christmas Category of Technique Junkies are 20% off through November 22. Get your favorites today!

Day 7 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

Here we are on day 7 of the 30 Days of Christmas! Today I am sharing a shaker card. Shaker cards are so fun. I used two stamp sets in creating this card: Christmas Ornaments Trio and Victorian Greetings. Here is the card:

This type of card is not as difficult to create as you might think. Here is how it came together.

  1.  Start with a black A2 card base and some black cardstock.
  2.  Cut 4 frames using metal dies and glue all four layers together.
  3.  Cut 1 more frame and the acetate. Stamp image on the acetate an emboss with silver embossing powder. Color the frame with Nuvo Glitter Markers. I used Urban Graphite. Attach the frame to the acetate.
  4.  Attach the 4 layered frame piece to the card base. Be sure it is secured well so nothing will leak out.
  5.  Add your shaker items to the "well" created by the stacked frames.
  6.  Attach the frame and acetate to the top of the stacked frames, again ensuring they are securely attached to prevent leakage.
  7.  Stamp and emboss the sentiment on the card base.
  8.  Add silver dots with the silver Nuvo Glitter Marker from the Midnight Shadows set.
  9.  I wasn't happy with how the ornament kind of disappeared after I assembled the card, so I stamped and embossed it on silver paper using red embossing powder, cut out just the ornament, and attached it over the embossed acetate. Much better! The ornament now shows up and I really liked the touch of red.
This card was so easy peasy! I love shaker cards!

Both sets of stamps used include multiple stamps. Here is a glimpse of each set:

Day 6 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

Hello, Kia here with you for Day 6 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas.

I used the delightful Feliz Naughty Dog set for my card today, along with a sentiment from the Victorian Christmas sentiment set and a Christmas Stencil.

My background is done using distress oxide inks and water, blending the colours together slightly. Once dry I stencilled over the piece with Picked Raspberry and Ranger Pigment ink in Glacier White.

I attached my panel to a navy card base and added several die cut snowflakes to the bottom with the dog sitting above, and stamped my sentiment on white cardstock using purple ink attaching it in the snow area.

I then added a few drops of Nuvo Glitter Drops.- in the silver to finish.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today and thank you for visiting.

Day 5 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas!

I used Christmas Lights and one of the lovely verse stamps from Gifts of Christmas.   The lights were colored in with Copic markers.  The greeting was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.   And a few green sequins were added.

I decided to cut the Christmas lights into two pieces, and I very carefully cut them apart leaving the rubber attached so i could easily put it back together like a puzzle.  Then it would stamp as though it had never been cut apart.  That is how i created the space in the middle.

Who likes to save money?  I do and I am sure you do as well.  Use TJ10Judy when you place your order and save 10%!
Have a tremendous day -- and get inky!

Boo Convention

Today I made a few more Halloween cards to get in the mail ... I like mailing Halloween cards because they are unexpected and lots of fun to make.

Remember, you can use my discount TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your entire order.

I started with the background stamp Boo Convention and Inspiration from the current TGIF Challenge.

Instead of an orange raccoon with a mask, I added some orange cat stickers with sunglasses to my boo crew.  Sentiment is Technique Junkies Happy Halloween.

My next card took it's inspiration from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie.

I used a small heart punch and a navy gem to add a bow to one of my ghosties ... and I added a black cat with purple sunglasses for some company.

I also took my color palette from the Just Us Girls Challenge ... the Boo Convention stamped in green almost makes them look like they are glowing in the dark.

Thanks for joining me for some BOO-tiful Halloween Fun.

Joyeux Noel

Hello fellow stampers.  This photo does not do justice to the beautiful shine and to the watercolour
Ornament 1.  The sentiment came from Victorian Greetings.  There are six beautiful greetings that you're sure to love too.

Don't forget to use DT10Beth to get 10% off these, and any other stamp/product, that isn't in the clearance rack.

So many times I read that a stamper isn't pleased with their photography, and this is one of those.  Believe me when I say it's beautiful in real life.  I think the photo didn't caputure the beauty is because I used Koi metallic watercolours.

I've been working away on making my Christmas cards.  How about you?

Season of Blessings

Hello friends!  Lynda Joy here, with a fall card. Fall is definitely here in upstate New York!  Our trees are ablaze with crimson, orange, red, purple, and all the shades of October!  It's so lovely, and I enjoy our walks along our river trail this time of year.

My card for today....

Skeleton Leaf Stencil

I loved making this card!!  I got to play with my favorite colors, and a giant leaf stencil.  I adore leaves!

I used craft card stock, and distress inks with my stencil, adding colors to different areas of the leaf as I went along, blending them.
I stamped the 'Blessings' with dark brown ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Inside:
I used the Autumn Set of 6 set with distress inks.

I hope you like my card.

Thanks for stopping by.
