Technique Junkies Junk Journal Flip Through Video and an Announcement

This junk journal was so fun to do.  It was my first one, so I decided to make a journal using Technique Junkies coffee-related stamps.  Looking over my list, I see that Pat is a big coffee lover like me.  There are a lot of coffee stamps.  I have included the links for you below.  An announcement has been made in the next paragraph.

Links to Stamps I used for my journal entitled "For the Love of Coffee."

Coffee, Sarcasm & Lipstick

Love, Laughter and Coffee

It's with heavy heart that I have decided to retire from Technique Junkies.  I've had a blast over the last 14 years.  Technique Junkies has a close-knit Design Team and I've grown many friendships over time.   I'll still be around dabbling in this and that--Gelliplate, Junk and Art Journals, Card-Making, etc.

Thank you Pat for  everything.

Sepia Lavender Frame

Good morning!  Today, I'm sharing this sepia-toned lavender frame card with stamps from Technique Junkies.  I stamped the gorgeous new Lavender Frame with a dark brown ink (Pinecone Versafine Clair) onto some white cardstock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lavender Friendship Sentiments set with the same brown ink inside the frame.

To get that sepia-toned shading around the frame, I masked off the center of the frame first.  Then I used a blending brush and some brown dye ink and very lightly brushed the ink around the outside of the frame.  I carefully peeled off the mask to reveal the bright white sentiment area and then adhered this stamped panel to a dark brown mat and a white card base.

You can save some money when you shop at Technique Junkies by using this code, TJ10Holly, when you check out.  Stock up on these stamps and the blending brushes along with some Shimmering Bliss sprays and stencils.  Happy shopping!

Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Friend

 Hi there!

I'm up today on the Technique Junkies blog, and am sharing a pretty card using some stamps from the January release.

Pat came out with two coordinating items this month, and I think I will be using them a lot! 'Lavender Frame' and 'Lavender Friendship Sentiments, set of 4' are beautiful to work with. The sentiments are lovely when used as stand-alone stamps on a pretty background, or when used with the 'Lavender Frame'.

This is the 4th card that I've made with these beautiful stamps. I simply stamped the frame and sentiment in brown ink on 'alcohol ink' patterned paper, and adhered to a light green card base.

Dotted Hearts - Trio of Cards - Technique Junkies

Hello!  Today's cards are from The Hopeful Crafter, Tracy Shultz. I created a trio of cards that feature the new Technique Junkies Dotted Hearts background stamp. This stamp is part of  the January 2022 New Release stamps: https://techniquejunkies.com/january-2022-new-stamp-release/   All of the new stamps are still available at the link above. Save 10% off non-sale items with my code: TJ10Tracy

My first card (above) was created by first ink blended on Hammermill Color Cover Copy Paper using Catherine Pooler inks (DoSiDo and Rouge).  These inks are amazing and they are available at the Technique Junkies shop! These inks are water reactive, so I spritzed some water on the panel and it created white spots on the red ink blended panel. I dried the ink blended panel with my heat tool, then stamped the Dotted Heart stamp using Versamark Watermark Ink. I then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I cut the word "Love" in gold foil cardstock using a sentiment from my stash. I used a black A2 card base.
My second card has most of the same elements as the first, but I used white embossing powder and the inks I used to blend with were Pucker Up and DoSiDo Catherine Pooler Ink.
My third card features silver embossing powder and I ink blended the background with Pucker Up Catherine Pooler Ink.

This release is so much fun. If you're like me and you have to have all the stamps in this collection, there is a "Gotta Have It All" bundle: https://techniquejunkies.com/january-2022-gotta-have-it-all-bundle/

You can save 10% off on all sale items if you use my code: TJ10Tracy (excludes sale items and bundles). Thank you for visiting today.

Ostriches are sometimes trouble!!!

I have had so much fun with this sentiment Drunk and Disorderly and these ostriches in Your Kind of Crazy.  The ostriches actually are side by side with a sentiment in between them....but with some masking, I stamped just each ostrich this way. Orchid opulence sponging and black stamping on this pretty designer paper. Then layered with dark purple mat and some rhinestones to finish it.
I am blessed to have friends that this sentiment applies to!

Pam

Drunk and Disorderly - with my sister

True confession time - this is actually a picture of me and my sister that I turned into a stamp. The original sentiment is different than this -- but it works so well with the Drunk and Disorderly stamp - perfect for the two of us! The background uses Shimmering Bliss and the Dotted Hearts stamp. All stamps and sprays from www.techniquejunkies.com Pat Huntoon

Friends are Like Flowers

I'll be sharing 2 more cards using these stamps this month, and 2 different looks for them. For this card, I simply stamped the frame and sentiment in brown ink on Kraft cardstock, matted with brown cardstock, and adhered to a Kraft card base.

This was my first card that was shared last week.
What a difference between the look and feel of each!

Check back on the 27th - I'll have card #3 to share!

A Very Small Word

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies blog, and am sharing two fun cards, with some stamps from the January release.

Our fur babies are so precious to us! I love this beautiful sentiment 'Dog' - truer words were never spoken. When I'm having a bad day, our little Sophie seems to know that I need a special cuddle. My best friend just lost her special fur-child, a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback, and this month's release came just when I needed to make her a special card.

Here's what I made:

For this card, I used a new release background stamp 'Falling Confetti Hearts', which was stamped with pink ink. The 'Dog' sentiment was layered over a pretty, ornate die cut.

For this card, I used a stencil and some blue Diamond Izink for the background. A small panel was covered with the Izink as well, to use as a mat for the sentiment. Have I mentioned how much you 'need' some of these Izinks????

I'm happy that you stopped by today!

Galentine's Day started in 2010

There is always something new popping up and in a 2010 episode of Parks and Rec, Galentine's Day became a thing! It is a day to celebrate female friendships or any friendships! This Falling Confetti Hearts background is the perfect stamp for this occasion. Paired with the Happy Galentine's day sentiment, it is the perfect, quick creation. My first card was done by placing Brushos on dry watercolor paper and then spritzing with water. The second two were done by placing ink onto acetate and doing the ink, spray, smash technique. The sentiment is up on dimensionals on all three cards.
Head over to Technique Junkies to check out all of our amazing stamps and use my code, TJ10Pam to get an extra 10% off!

Love Laughter and Coffee

A perfect morning is a good cup of coffee and sharing stories and love with my friends and/or family. At least for me!

I used the Blooming Heart randomly on this background to highlight the Love Laughter and Coffee stamp.

A Very Small Word

I chose a landscape Z-fold card style to create this card.    The focal image of Dog Is Such a Small Word fits nicely for this Z-fold card.  The grass is sponged and the sky is created with the Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.

You can see all of the January Technique Junkies release stamps here.    As you look at them and you ask yourself is there a way I can get these a much higher discount?   You can purchase the "Gotta Have It All" group and save 20% on the total cost!  This a WOW price!
And  when you purchase any other items from the Technique Junkies website you can save 10% on anything not on sale!! Just use TJ10Judy in the coupon box!!  Another WOW!!
