I Love You A Latte | 2 Valentine's Day Card Ideas

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday.  I made these 2 cards for Valentine's Day, which is fast approaching, but you can certainly use them for any special day.  Especially if you are a coffee lover or have a coffee lover in your life.

These are very simple to make.  I used 2 of the stamp sets - Falling Checks and Love You A Latte.  I also have a much more detailed step-by-step on my personal blog - HERE - if you want to check it out.

To make the card:

  • I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock.
  • I printed one of the papers from the Coffee Lovers Digital Paper Pack from Graciellie Designs and die-cut it using the same 4' x 5.25" stitched rectangle die.  I also die-cut a piece of white cardstock, which I adhered to the inside of the card.
  • I stamped "Falling Checks" on the printed words using a red ink pad and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.
  • Using Onyx Black Versafine Ink, I stamped "Love You a Latte" on white cardstock, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, and die-cut it using a stitched square die.  Using the next size up, I die-cut a piece of red cardstock.

To finish the card...

  • I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back of the checks/words cardstock and then I adhered it to the card front.
  • I adhered the "I Love You A Latte" to the red cardstock, then a piece of fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I stamped the cup from "Love You A Latte" using the red ink, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, fussy cut the cup, and adhered it to the front of the card.
Here's the final card.

And here is another option without using the Falling Checks stamp.

Done!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you liked these 2 card ideas.  I have a much more detailed step-by-step, with photos, over on my personal blog if you want to check it out.  Just click HERE

Enjoy the rest of your day and, until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.

Falling In Love At The Beach | Valentine's Day Card | Beach Card

Hey y'all.  So, the holidays are over.  Time to put those Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year stamps to the side and make cards for love - falling in love at the beach this summer,  an anniversary, maybe a wedding, or for Valentine's Day.

Summer is right around the corner and lots of people will fall in love at the beach this year so...let's make a card to celebrate summer love.  I used Love Harlequin as my background and Stays At The Beach as my focal image.  I also had a stash of adhesive hearts that went perfectly with the card.

Let's make the card...

  • I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock.
  • I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the inside of the card for a message.
  • I stamped Love Harlequin on white cardstock, die-cut it using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then adhered it to the card front.
  • Next, I stamped Stays at the Beach, die-cut it using a circle die, colored in the image, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I adhered glossy accents to the water droplets near the hears, and the adhesive hearts to the background image.

All About Love

 Hello,

Do you remember that feeling you got at school when you exchanged Valentine's with your classmates?  It was magical, right?  My son and I sat down yesterday and assembled all of Valentines.  He is so excited to share the with his friends.  It has inspired me to try to get a few more out in the mail to spread the cheer.

This card was a lot of fun to make. I love the ombre background.  I stamped the background stamp in three different colors of ink.  I used red at the top, medium red in the middle and pink at the bottom.  I thought it added some interest.  I masked off the bottom so I could add a simple I love you.

Happy Valentine's Day
Chris

Underneath the Moon with Tutorial

 Hello all,

I have a love/hate relationship with embossing powder.  It can be challenging to get a clear image without flecks all over.  Well... What if you want the flecks?  Check out this technique where I turn the flecks into stars on my evening sky card. You can see the video here

A Jar of Hearts

Happy day and welcome to 2023!
Today my share is very clean and simple. I used the new release Open Hearts. To start, I stamped the Incrediball Canning Jar in black. Stamped a portion of the hearts in black, colored in pink with Zig watercolor brush marker and then stamped the sentiment in the jar in black. I fussy cut it out. The lips designer paper was die cut, wrapped in pink embroidery thread and placed on dimensionals with some pink rhinestones. The sentiment was popped up as well. Such a quick and fun creation to make.

Head over to Technique Junkies and check out all of the new releases. They are 15% off through the 8th.

Dotted Hearts - Trio of Cards - Technique Junkies

Hello!  Today's cards are from The Hopeful Crafter, Tracy Shultz. I created a trio of cards that feature the new Technique Junkies Dotted Hearts background stamp. This stamp is part of  the January 2022 New Release stamps: https://techniquejunkies.com/january-2022-new-stamp-release/   All of the new stamps are still available at the link above. Save 10% off non-sale items with my code: TJ10Tracy

My first card (above) was created by first ink blended on Hammermill Color Cover Copy Paper using Catherine Pooler inks (DoSiDo and Rouge).  These inks are amazing and they are available at the Technique Junkies shop! These inks are water reactive, so I spritzed some water on the panel and it created white spots on the red ink blended panel. I dried the ink blended panel with my heat tool, then stamped the Dotted Heart stamp using Versamark Watermark Ink. I then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I cut the word "Love" in gold foil cardstock using a sentiment from my stash. I used a black A2 card base.
My second card has most of the same elements as the first, but I used white embossing powder and the inks I used to blend with were Pucker Up and DoSiDo Catherine Pooler Ink.
My third card features silver embossing powder and I ink blended the background with Pucker Up Catherine Pooler Ink.

This release is so much fun. If you're like me and you have to have all the stamps in this collection, there is a "Gotta Have It All" bundle: https://techniquejunkies.com/january-2022-gotta-have-it-all-bundle/

You can save 10% off on all sale items if you use my code: TJ10Tracy (excludes sale items and bundles). Thank you for visiting today.

I titled my post because both of my cards today will go to friends. My first card uses the new sentiment, Drunk and Disorderly
I used distress ink and an ACLD stencil called Cracked. The Attitude giraffes are so fun and appropriate with this sentiment!
I have the perfect friends to give this to...we're like the 3 stooges!

This group of new releases is just fabulous and you can get 15% off until Jan 8th and 10% off the remainder of your order using my code TJ10Pam.

My second card I used Kitty Love Background which I stamped in black using the Misti and then used silver and gold stickles to fill in the hearts and then used chipboard x and o. This was a Teapot challenge over on splitcoaststampers.com MMTPT702 All that glitters.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey there! Pam here today with a couple creations. This stamp is new from TJ and is called Blooming Heart and the sentiment, Happy Galentine's Day is new as well. Fabulous! I think it is more fun to shower our girlfriends with cards for Valentine's Day than it is the guys!
I stamped the heart on white card stock and colored in with my Zig watercolor brush markers. A random piece of designer paper as matting and some fun bow ribbon and rhinestones. The sentiment is on dimensionals.
These fabulous new releases are 15% off until January 8th. You can get an additional 10% off other items when you use my code TJ10Pam.

My next card using the lovely Dahlias stamp and the sentiment is from the Things I Want to Do, was stamped on a mono print background I made the other day. I placed some small drops of acrylic paint here and there and then folded the gel plate to get the white areas. The Dahlias were colored in with Zig watercolor brush markers, too. A couple circle punches for the sentiment and popped on dimensionals with burgundy matting.

Go check out the website for all the awesome goodness, here.

Go check out the stamps for January. You will not be disappointed!

Valentine Mixed Media Card and a Tag

Good morning Junkies!  I've got a couple of items to share with you today.  So without further ado, here they are:

I started with a 4x6 watercolor mixed media card (the kind you use with Project Life).  I inked up Le Tour Eiffel with Memories Delicate Rose ink and stamped it in the center of the card.  Next, I punched out some hearts and embossed them with red and white embossing powder.  I added a die cut cupid I had laying around in my stash.  Finally, I stamped a fitting sentiment from Mae West Sentiments at the top and bottom of the card.

For this large #12 tag, I started off by stamping Batik Flourish on a smaller, scalloped tag and embossed the flowers with Lindsay's Stamp Gang Angel Wings Mauve.  Next I painted my embossed image with Art Anthology Vegas Gold & Chocolate Sorbets and Silks Emerald Green.  I then added the circles from Batik Elements Set of 6 and painted them the same colors as my flourish.  Once the paint was dry, I sprayed the tag with Art Anthology Wild Orchard Colorations.  I then set the tag to one side.

I sprayed a #12 tag with Art Anthology Plush Colorations and let it dry.  I then stenciled with one of the Art Anthology Off The Grid Stencils (they come in a set of three) and Gold Texture Luxe.  Using my scalloped tag to figure out placement, I used some floral die cuts from a Tattered Lace die and adhered everything down.  I stenciled DREAM using the Art Anthology Soliloquy stencil and Black Leather Jacket Sorbet.  Finally, I flicked some watered down Tuxedo Velvet across the tag.  Yes, it was a very involved tag.

Hope you enjoyed today's projects.  Until later..........................

Greetings Inky Friends!

Tonya here with a couple more stamps from the January NEW Release!

First I sprayed watercolor paper with Art Anthology Sprays using Timeless, Grass and Ink Spot. I dried the piece with a heat tool and then misted the Falling Checks stamp with water using the water as my "ink" to stamp onto the sprayed piece. This reacted by lifting some of the colored spray off the paper and leaving a ghosted image. For the images I used the adorable Geek Chic set
and heat embossed them in black.!

Next up I used the new Happy Valentine's Day stamp and colored it in using alcohol markers. I masked the Kitty Lovers behind the heart so it looks like they are sitting on it. For the background I used the Vortex background stamp and I heavily applied gelatos to it. I sprayed the stamp with water and pressed it onto watercolor paper. This was my second print too with lots of color still on it!  I tied it off with FSJ's Sweet Berry Crimped Ribbon.

Valentine's Day is near and both sets would be great for the tech-y geek or kitty-lover in your life!
I'll be back on February 1st with more new releases!!

Happy Creating!! ~ TONYA :)

Curled corner love

Hetty here with some Valentine inspiration.
I used the Curled Corner (Feb/March 2011) for this vintage
looking Valentine card. The main image is a digital image
from Create with TLC printed on a book page.
The sentiment is also by Create with TLC
and the hearts are the mini cloisonne hearts
from Michael Strong embossed
with gold embossing powder.

Hetty's Valentine Goodie Box

How about this Goodie Box for your Valentine?
It is a new tutorial from the latest TJ newsletter and
it is the one that is not in your newletter
but a special one that you can find online
if you are a member of the Technique Junkies.
You can find the tutorial here:

You can think of different goodies inside the box.
If your love lights up your live,
you can add candles, maybe scented ones.
and there is a pocket for your message too!
Stamps and sentiments are all by Club Scrap.
As you see here the candles in the box
can be replaced by chocolate (see below),
which is more what my DH loves.
If you add a accetate window to the opening
of the box, you can add anything you want.

Of course this is not only a gift idea for Valentine,
how about Easter eggs in the box,
a birthday present,
candles for Christmas
wedding candies
little baby socks fit perfectly
well......this is a nice gift box for all
kinds of occasions.

Have a creative day!
