What about these sweet hens?

I made this fun card with the Keep Chickens set

I stamped them all in black and added a pop of red here and there for some interest.

I wanted to thank you and Pat for the wonderful opportunity to design for Technique Junkies Stamps

Spring Bunny

Good Morning!

Today I'm featuring the Spring Bunny Stamp

Just a little hint: When working with this stamp, I would recommend you
stamp her in a light color. I stamped the image in grey and I actually stamped off first.
I coloured the image with Prism Pencils to keep it soft.
I just wanted the image to stand out on it's own, so I mounted it on some pretty Ribbon.
Because of the abundance of linework in the bunny, it doesn't require a lot of colouring!!!!

Hope you have an amazing day!

March Release Encore!

Morning!!!!
I'm going to keep this post short and sweet as I've been report writing all wee and it has left me with a lovely pain between my shoulder blades.
I wanted to feature a couple of the newly released stamps because they are still on sale!!!

I coloured the Tulip Background in a little different colour combination to what has been showcased and then I fussy cut the image for a different look!

I enjoyed colouring this pretty image. The lady is lovely Crowned in curls
I used the Scribble Background to mimic the shape of her beautiful curls!!!!

Hearts and Sparkle!

Good Morning!!! I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share with you today.

For my first card, I created a background with Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Raspberry and Seedless Preserves.

I stamped the adorable  Sparkle all Day sentiment with Versafine Clair Ink

Super Easy!!!!

For this card, I embossed the Just a Hug Stamp onto white cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. Next, I lay the Doodle Wheel Stencil over the heart and sponged Memento Galaxy Gold Brilliance Ink over.

I have a couple more ideas for this awesome stamp and will share soon!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!!!

Layering with Stencils

Good Morning!!!!

Hope all of you experiencing this horrible blast of winter are enjoying a little reprieve from the cold. Sounds like some of your temperatures south of the border were a lot cooler than even up here in Chilly Canada!!! It's warming up here a touch, so I'm hopeful I can get back to enjoying longer walks.

I'm having all sorts of trouble with my Mac. I think it's on a slow burn, so I apologize for the quality of the photo this morning. I'll get the post up and then try to upload the better photograph I took, that doesn't seem to want to save to drop box.....ugh

Today I created this Sympathy card for my Aunt using the Vintage Botanical Japanese Stamp
I also used one of the beautiful sentiments from the with Sympathy set.

I masked off a circle and created a background with baby blue ink

Then I stamped the Maple leaves.
I added some colours to the centre with red and orange ink and did an overall watercolour wash with Vintage photo. Next, I layered the Messy Diamond Grid Stencil and  more baby blue ink
I then layered a grunge dot stencil over top of that and sprayed some Harvest Sunset Shimmering Bliss. I've got a video of the process, but of course with doing my first video, I didn't figure out the editing until this morning. It should be up on my blog later today!!!!

Lastly, I added the sentiment and then a little more stencilling along the side with the simple mosaic stencil!!!!

Hope you have an amazing day!!!

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Good Morning!!!!

Have you got all your Holiday Cards finished?

I'm just about done, which is good because with Canada Post on Strike, it could take until next Christmas to get them delivered!!!!

I made this pretty card for a special someone!!! I have some people in my life who save each and every card i make them, so I like to go all out when creating a card for them.

For this card I focused on Heat Embossing

I used the Following Stamps:

Birches ( one of my FAVE TJ stamps!)

I added a blue frame for a little contrast and to form a Shadow box so I could add some pretty gold glass glitter!!!!

LOVEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Raise your glass!!!

Good Morning!!!
You've seen a lot of Christmas and Holiday cards so this morning I decided we'd think about ringing in the New Year!!!!
I created this fun and festive New Year card using the Champagne Toast Image! To make it super classy, I embossed it with Gold Detail Powder/
I created the frame and added the Raise your Glass sentiment

Lastly, I finished up by adding some pretty gold sequins to add some bling and mounted it all onto patterned paper for a little more interest.

30 days of Christmas-Day 15

Anyone up for a drink? I would love one of these Christmas 'Tini's!!!

I LOVE this stamp because you get the image and sentiment all in one!!!!

It's called Cocktail Joy

I stamped the card using a couple of different techniques with the Misti

First, I stamped the whole thing lightly with Memento Desert Sand to get a light guide for the rest of the card. Next, I used Water based Markers for the sentiment and the outline of the leaves.

I used a combination of water based markers and copics to colour the image and add Shadows.

Lastly, Frosted the rim of the middle glass with some chunky glitter and added a glittery green straw~

Easy Peasy~~~

Hope you have a wonderful week~~~

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Good Morning!!!

I wanted to share a fun card using this lovely Partridge in a Pear Tree image

To get the various gradation of colour, I used my Misti and water based markers to colour the image. A good tip is to do this in portions, thus the need for my Misti!

To create the background, I used the Grunge Dot Stencil and some Harvest Summer Shimmering Bliss! A quick and easy card with just a little effort!!!! The card doesn't do Justice to the pretty shine that peeks behind the trees!!!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Northern Lights and a little fright!

Good Morning~ Hope you're all having a great weekend! It's been super hot here, so perfect to stay inside and Stamp!!!!!!

How do you like this new Wolf by Moonlight image? I think it's fabulous!! I've been wanting to try the Northern lights technique for awhile now and thought it would look perfect with this stamp~

I used Tim Holtz Distress INks in Black Soo, Chipped Saphire, Broken China and Picked Raspberry for the sponged in sky.  I stamped the image in Versafine Clair in Nocturne. Oh boy~ NOW I see all  what all the hulabaloo is with regard to this ink. It's delicious!!!!

I took the sentiment from the Sentimental Sayings Set , inked it in Versamark and sprinkled on some white embossing powder. I really like the way it turned out. I wanted a the sky to look a little bit Starry, so I poured some embossing powder over the top of the card and then tapped it off. I heated it and just got a lovely smattering here and there!!!!

If you look closely on the gray card, you can see some texture in the background. That is from the Textured Newsprint Background Stamp. I can see myself using this stamp over and over again. I LOVE it~~~

I wanted you to be able to see a little more of it, so using my Misti, I stamped it in Mist Ink and then reinked it with a swipe or two of nocturne before stamping again. Really reminds me of worm newsprint~~ I paired it up with some Dies and Nuvo drop eyes to bring it to life. I have something going on with these Nuvo drops~~~

Heres what it looks like all lit up~~

Here's a little coupon code if you're up for some retail therapy today~~~

Girlfriends

Good Morning!!!!

Today I want to celebrate my girlfriends. I am blessed to have many wonderful women in my life. Best Friend Forever, Close Friends, Acquaintances and Coworkers. Each an every one of these women empower me and bring so much joy in my life. I cherish all of these encounters and particularly  those that I have met through the crafting world.

I coloured the girls in Copic Marker and paired them with the Sentiment from the Wisdom of Oz  set. I could chatter on about that Movie and the themes for ever, so I just won't stop

LIfe's a Hoot!!!

Happy Sunday!!!

Vicki here with another ATC Coin Idea

For my coin, I used the You are a Hoot Set

I stamped my own onto the 2.5  inch pre sprayed circle, then I stamped a second owl onto Neenah Solar Crest Paper and coloured the owl with Copic Marker.

I cut the tree branch for a die cut and cut the Life's a Hoot sentiment out of the larger sentiment and set it up on a pop dot!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new ATC craze. How about you?

Be a Free Spirit

Good Morning!!!

I love lazy Sunday Mornings, how about you!
I wanted to create a couple of quick cards for a friend who is having a bit of a difficult time right now.
I love the theme of this stamp and the sentiments as well
For my first card, I stamped on a pre made background using distress inks and the Contemporary Floral Stamp. I stamped the main image and sentiment from the Free Spirit set
and added a touch of silver to the moon and arrows. You can really see it, but it has a nice sparkle in real life.

For my second card, I simply coloured the image with markers. Using my MISTI makes it so much easier because  I could do it a bit at a time and more than once, to ensure the colours came through beautifully!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my simple creations and wish you a peaceful day
