Where flowers Bloom...

This sentiment is so lovely. It just evokes the idea of lush colorful flowers blooming in the spring, bringing hope to those of us who have spent many long months inside.  The background paper and lace are from my obscenely rich stash, and the stamp made be found here:

Wildflowers Silhouette

 Hi there!

It's my day to post here on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share two cards that I created, with some new April release products.

What better way to start out, than by using a classic black and white theme? The white heat embossed image is so vibrant on the black background!

This next card began with a background panel. The 6 Square Shadow Stencil, some Distress Oxide Inks, and blending brushes were used to create a pretty panel, which was then lightly spritzed with Shimmering Bliss 'Dolphin Cove'. Once the panel was ready, the image S889 Wildflowers Silhouette, and the image 'SS134 In the Garden were stamped onto the panel with black Versafine ink. The focal panel was adhered to a black card base.

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Light House Vertical Z-Fold Card

This is a typical Z-fold card -- but the usual orientation is horizontal.  I turned it vertical.  Cut your base card stock at 11inches by 4 1/4 inches.   Score at 5 1/2 inches and 2 3/4 inches.  The measurements are the same  whether the orientation  is horizontal or vertical.  This is a Z-fold card I did on April 4, 2020

For today's card I used several Technique Junkie's stamps:  Wildflower Silhouettes from the April 2021 Release,  Vintage Lighthouse, and a verse from Mae West Sentiments.

I used a 3 x5 sticky note to form the horizon line.  Then I applied  several shades of blues, a light green and a light purple to create the water.  To create the sky I punched a circle from 2 pieces of sticky notes neat the sticky part.  I placed the hole  a short distance away from the  horizon line and using a sponge dauber I colored in the sun, and then added a lighter reflection in the water.  Next I colored the sun with the punched out circle.  The I used the 3x5 sticky note and covered the water leaving the sky a blank canvas.  Then I used the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.    I used a variety of ink colors with an ink blending brush,   Then I used a sponge with darker blue  around the edges to try and imitate a night time sunset.

The flowers and the verse were heat embossed with clear embossing powder over black pigment ink.

Please remember that if  you just love all of the new stamps and you just gotta have them all -- you can get them all for 20% off. What savings are available for you!!

And if  you want other things you can save 10% off of everything else that is not on sale!!  Just use the coupon code TJ10Judy when you check out.

Have a wonderful day, and get inky!!

Where Flowers Bloom

Good morning, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm here to share this shimmery ombre card I created for Technique Junkies.  This beautiful new stamp is called Where Flowers Bloom, and I embossed it with white powder onto some white cardstock.  I sprayed the top area with Festive Flamingo Shimmering Bliss and the bottom with Just Squeezed Shimmering Bliss.  This created a beautiful ombre effect with a gorgeous shimmer which you can see in the picture below.

I used the Festive Flamingo Shimmering Bliss to spray some seam binding as well.  I covered the ribbon with the spray and then scrunched it up with my fingers before letting it dry.  I love that distressed look of the ribbon with the shimmer everywhere.

Please use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies to get 10% off your order.  There are hundreds of stamps to choose from as well as the Shimmering Bliss sprays and foils and A Colorful Life Designs stencils.

Garden Tools

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog.  I have two cards to share today, just in time for the planting season! Things are beginning to pop out of the ground and bloom, here in Southeast Missouri. What fun this stamp was to create with!

For the first card, the background was spritzed with Chestnut Mare Shimmering Bliss, over top of 'Brick Wall', A Colorful Life Stencil'. I adhered the brick panel to a card base, and set it aside to dry. Next, S902 'Garden Tools' was stamped onto white cardstock, colored with Copics, distressed with Ink Blending Brushes and a variety of Distress Oxide Inks, and a circle was cut out of the panel. One of the garden tools, and the hose were also fussy cut from what was left over after the circle was die cut. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of cardstock, the same as the base color, and was spritzed with Chestnut Mare Shimmering Bliss. The circle, tools, and sentiment were then adhered to the card base. This will be fun to send to a gardener that we know!

Next up is another card made with S902 'Garden Tools'. The image was stamped, colored with Copics, and the background was added with A Colorful Life Designs Stencil 'Grunge Dots'. The panel was then distressed with Distress Oxide Ink and Ink Blending Brushes

The sentiment on the inside is from SS134 'In the Garden'.
Here is the inside of the second card:

I am SO enjoying this April release, and hoping that you like it, too!

3 Shadow Oxide Wildflower Card & Kit

3 Shadow Oxide Wildflower Card & Kit
You have to try this!
The new Wildflower Border stamp from the April release is delicate and beautiful! It is one of my favorites from this release, and I am VERY excited to share what I did with it! The 3 Shadow Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, colored with blended Distress Oxide Inks, is a great backdrop for the stamp. Not only that, but you can use the same inks to color the stamp, too!

I actually put together two kits for this tutorial -- one with the inks included and one without the ink, since some of the colors here were used in previous kits. All of the products may also be purchased individually HERE, too, if you just need a few things to round out your supply.
Let us show you how!
