Greetings lovely stampers! I hope you have had a chance to enjoy the June release hop. Lynda Joy here, with another project for your inspiration today.
When I saw the Vintage Lighthouse stamp, I knew I would be using it in my journaling bible.
To create my page, I stamped the Vintage Lighthouse onto my bible page. To 'ink' the stamp, I used Tombow dual tip markers. I used one of the grays for the lighthouse, and a light blue for the clouds and water portions of the stamp. I find that the Tombow dual brush markers do not bleed through my page, so I can use them in my journaling bible safely.
I stamped the main image on the journaling area, and extended the clouds/sky and water into the script a little. I don't mind adding color on the words, as long as I can still read the scriptures. I used Polychromos colored pencils to color the image and create the sky and water. I find that the bible pages take the pencil well, and are great for coloring on the word portion without obscuring the scriptures.
For my journaling, I used Sakura Micron pens, and hand-lettered the verse. I decided to keep this page fairly simple, as the Psalm really speaks for itself.
I hope you enjoyed my project today, and that it inspired you to use your stamps in new and different ways, and on different projects.
