Just Keep Swimming

These times are unique. Something future generations will study in their history lessons. We are all in this together, though, so I have a message for everyone: Just Keep Swimming. Things will get better.

That message inspired the card I have to share with you today. Just Keep Swimming is one of my favorite stamps sets and I always break out a smile when I use it.  I paired it with a newer stamp called Raining Confetti. To me, it reminded me of the bubbles in the ocean. What do you think? Fun, right?

To create the card, I started with a piece of white cardstock cut slightly smaller than an A2 card (4.25" x 5.5"). I stamped Raining Confetti using Versamark Ink, then embossed it with white embossing powder. Using the TJ Ink Blending Brushes, I used four shades of blue and created an ombre effect, with the lightest color at the top to the darkest color at the bottom.

On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the Just Keep Swimming stamp in black ink, then cut apart the pieces. (I admit, I'm not a fussy cutting fan so I used my Brother Scan-N-Cut to do the job for me. Shhh! Don't tell!)

I used colored pencils to color in the fish I chose to use, then a gamsol loaded marker to blend the colors. A little glossy accent on the eyes finished off the adorable fish faces.

All the elements were then adhered to my bubble background. That piece was then adhered to my A2 card base. Using a glitter marker from the Kaisercraft Gel Pen Set (I absolutely adore this set and use it every chance I get!), I added a border.

And there you have it! A super fun card with a super applicable message. JUST KEEP SWIMMING.

We will all get through this together. For me, crafting is my boredom buster and my therapist. Hopefully, you have gotten a little inspiration today.

Stay safe, everyone!

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!
