Spring Bunny

Good Morning!

Today I'm featuring the Spring Bunny Stamp

Just a little hint: When working with this stamp, I would recommend you
stamp her in a light color. I stamped the image in grey and I actually stamped off first.
I coloured the image with Prism Pencils to keep it soft.
I just wanted the image to stand out on it's own, so I mounted it on some pretty Ribbon.
Because of the abundance of linework in the bunny, it doesn't require a lot of colouring!!!!

Hope you have an amazing day!

Be Creative Every Day!

Hello Technique Junkies! Janelle dropping in today with two cards to inspire you! It seems like we just shared the new stamps for March and now in only two days, there will be NEW stamps in April!

Did you all catch the new stamp bundle? The Stained Glass Metallic Mousse Rubber Stamping technique shared by Pat Huntoon on Wednesday's post has a really cool package to see that will save you 35%!

Shop today at Technique Junkies for all stamps, Shimmering Bliss Sprays, and more with a 10% discount -- use code TJ10Janelle at checkout.

Now for some crafting creativeness! The first card for today, I wanted to have something for those of us who have little time lately but want cards mad fun and fast! What's better than actually creating a card about being creative! Check out the supplies and instructions.

Supplies:
Directions:
  1. Stamp Weathered Wall with waterproof brown ink onto white cardstock.
  2. Sponge bright ink randomly covering the entire stamped surface.
  3. Stamp Do Something Creative stamp with waterproof black ink three times. Use stamp positioner if desired.
  4. Trim to edge of stamped image and frame with black cardstock. Spray with Shimmering Bliss Iridescent.
  5. Glue to the kraft card base.
It may or may not be early for Mother's Day card, so I'm sharing a fun technique with the Flower Trio stamp that just happens to use a pretty font sentiment that's for Mothers Day. It's a detailed but dense image, so I used it to my advantage to color with ink!

Change up the color cardstock to white and whatever array of ink pads you have for a fun and quick card.

Again supplies and instructions.

    1. Ink up Flower Trio with bright color ink, use a sponge if needed.
    2. Mist with water from spray bottle and stamp onto the top half of kraft cardstock. Repeat as needed with stamp positioner for deeper colors.
    3. When dry, stamp black over colored image.
    4. Rotate to stamp image again in previous steps.
    5. Stamp sentiment with black ink and glue to pink card base.
Remember to shop with code TJ10Janelle for a 10% discount!

Live like its Spring every day

Hello friends!! Giovana here today with a card that makes me think and dream of Spring over and over again.
Even though Spring is here, still cold in this part of the PNW, it's always like that and then BOOM, Spring is here, lol.

I love gardening and this year I am planning for a smaller but a much better organized garden, let's hope everything goes as plan.

For this card I used Pretty Pots Background and the sentiment is from In Full Bloom Sentiments
Stamp the Pretty Pots Background on White cardstock in Black Ink, color imaged with Alcohol markers.
Die-cut panel and adhere it to an orange A2 size card.
Stamp sentiment on white cardstock in Cherry Ink, die-cut sentiment and adhere it to card with foam tape.
    Embellish card with Nuvo drops.

You can get these stamps with a 10% discount using my code TJ10Giovana

    Hope you like it.
    Have a wonderful day!

TJ Inkspirations: Stained Glass Metallic Mousse Rubber Stamping

It may seem a little odd to have your weekly email arrive on Wednesday instead of Friday, but I missed last week, and since NEXT Monday is April 1st (which is our new release), Wednesday seems like the perfect day for some inspiration!

I have a video and a kit again for you this week. I wasn't planning on having a kit for you again so soon, but since I was able to work with the pricing on this one, it seemed right to give you that great discount! This kit is 35% off the normal price.

Just be aware that I have a much more limited quantity of this kit -- so if you want it, grab it quick.

    Here is the kit:

    Stained Glass Metallic Mousse

Whether of not you purchase the kit, the video shows how to use the Mousse again in another fun way -- easy clean-up, non-messy, too.  And the card takes only minutes to complete!

    Ready for inspiration?
    The video:

    I Was Left Unsupervised

Today I'm having fun with the Technique Junkie Stamp Mug Shot ... although I've named her Maxine because she sort of reminds me of a young version of my Grandma ... and Maxine just sounds right for her.

Remember, you can use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your entire order.

I started with Maxine in Black & White for the Use Your Stuff Challenge (all the papers were vintage from my stash).

The layout is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch ... I used a bottle cap sticker for my accent, because clearly Maxine is at a cross roads.  The sentiment is Technique Junkies Left Unsupervised.

Next I went with the Orange is the new Black theme for Maxine and paired her with a sentiment from Technique Junkies Partners in Crime ... I thought the speech bubble paper was fun with this sentiment.

The layout is this week's Global Design Project Sketch.

And I was having so much fun, I had to make one more with another sentiment from Partners in Crime.

This layout is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge ... I added some fun flair from local store A Flair for Buttons, which I thought worked perfectly with the sentiment & papers.

Hopefully you had as much fun with Maxine as I did today ... if you create with these stamps, be sure and let me know, so I can come check out your creations.

    Easter Basket

I am writing this post about two weeks before it will post, and I'm hoping that it will feel more like spring and Easter when it does!  Just coloring with these spring hues inspires me to start planning my garden!  But I digress...here is my card.  I used the Easter Basket stamp, Happy Easter stamp, and Swirly Ironwork stencil from the March Release.

I used Polychromos colored pencils to color the image.  I worked on it at the motor vehicle office, while I waited the hour and a half to renew my license.  Fortunately, I went prepared with my colored pencil case and a couple of stamped images to color.

When I arrived home, I finished my card.  I added some distressing with twisted citron distress ink and a blending brush, then placed the stencil over it and added more color, fading it out as it came closer to the basket.

I added the verse with VersaFine Claire nocturne ink.  I mounted it onto black card stock, then some patterned paper, and onto an A2 card base, which I had cut down.

And for the inside, which I kept simple....

Don't forget, you can  take 10% off your Technique Junkies order with my code, TJ10Lynda.  If you haven't checked out the March release, you can see it HERE.  The design team's blogs are listed there for your inspiration.

Thank you for spending some time with here.  I hope you are having a wonderful day!

    Blessings,

    Rose Border

    Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, it y turn to share with you on the blog today.
My card uses the Rose Border stamp and the In Full Bloom Sentiments.
Remember to use my code TJ10Ceal to receiver 10% off of your order.

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a panel of Bristol Smooth cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I stamped the Rose Border on the piece of bristol and then watercolored it with Zig Clean Color pens. After I was done coloring I staled the greeting. I love this sentiment because we should live our lives in full bloom everyday.

    Spring Crabapple

I think Spring may FINALLY be showing it's face! And to celebrate, I'm sharing a beautiful Crabapple card, created with one of the fabulous new releases this month!

There's something about kraft CS and pink that just makes me happy. And the Crab Apple (JT013) stamp was a perfect fit for this combination! I started out by using my MISTI to stamp the image with Versamark onto the kraft CS. It was then embossed with white embossing powder and colored with Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I used the brand new Cut-Align to trim the piece down with a precise border around the image.

Using a Kaisercraft Glitter Gel pen, I added some sparkly pink highlights to the flowers. I then stamped and embossed the Life is Beautiful (SDX099) stamp with some bright pink EP. The panel was then attached to a pink A2 card base using foam tape. For a little extra bling, I added some pink Robin's Nest Dew Drops.

This card came together so quick and easy! My kind of project! If you have a hankering for some beautiful springtime stamps, I suggest you head over to Technique Junkies. You can save a cool 10% off your purchase by entering my special code at checkout!

Hope you enjoy spring in your neck of the woods!

    Til next time,
    Keepin' it inky!

    BUTTERFLY BEAUTY IN MIXED MEDIA

    Hey there, TJ peeps!!!

I'm still playing with the fabulous new stamps from the March Release!  This one is called Butterfly Beauty and it truly is!  I've used a lot of product from the Technique Junkies Store on this card, all links are provided.

I started layering wet Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper drying each layer before adding the next.  I splattered water around the panel to achieve more dimension.

The butterfly was then stamped on the panel with a waterproof ink and painted it with a yellow Inktense Pencil. Using some green Distress Oxide Inks, I sponged Flowing Drops Stencil from A Colorful Life onto some areas in the background.

Using the TJ Stamp "Faint Scratches" , with the same waterproof ink I used to stamp the butterfly, I stamped it around the background for another layer and more texture and dimension.

The sentiment "One Must Live" was also stamped in the same waterproof ink.

For final details, I painted Shimmering Bliss "Harvest Sunset" on the inside of the butterfly's wings....I just loved this look, and made little dots with my white gel pen.

All the products I have listed and linked here can be purchased at a full 10% discount by using my personal code TJ10CHERI.  In fact, that discount code can be used on all stamps in the store and some supplies.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you found some creative inspiration while you were here.

    Dogwood Blossoms

I love the Spring feel of the stamps that were released this month. The Dogwood Background stamp (from the Mitten State Stamp line) resonates with me especially deeply, because to me they represent spring perfectly. I paired the Dogwood stamp with one of the In Full Bloom Sentiments.

The image was colored with colored pencils, then blended with Gamsol to smooth the line colors and blend them.  It was so easy to color and I love the way it turned out!

Spring is in three more days -- I hope our Dogwood Stamp inspires you to take a few moments to appreciate the season.

Spring Bunny on Sprayed Textured Newsprint

Happy Saturday, everyone! I'm here with a mildly mixed media Easter card using new the new March stamp, Spring Bunny and many more cheerful products! Isn't it time for more spring projects?

All the Technique Junkies products in today's project will be at your fingertips just a little bit further down in the post with instructions but first here is some shopping information you'll want to know!

    • New Technique and Card Kit! Check out yesterday's post for details! •
    • There are quick and stunning ways to make cards with Spray and Stamp Bundles! •
Shop with a discount! Use code TJ10Janelle at checkout for 10% off your order! •

I mentioned before that this card is mildly mixed media, but with a little bit of uniformity, you could create a traditional card with the same supplies. Here's how the sample is designed in the photo!

    Supplies:
    Instructions:
    1. Ink the Textured Newsprint Background stamp with 2-3 spring color ink pads using a single color at a time cleaning between each color so the inks won't stain other ink pads. Stamp on white cardstock and trim to only the edge of the image.
    2. Spray top half with Miami Vice Shimmer Spray and bottom corners with Vivid Volt.
    3. Stencil Nuvo Mousse on top with Harlequin stencil. Repeat on the bottom with another color mousse or darker inks.
    4. Randomly stamp Easter sentiment on the top half of background image in waterproof black ink. Adhere to coordinating color cardstock and tie twine around the top before adhering to kraft card base.
    5.  Stamp Spring Bunny with black waterproof ink. Color with watercolors then trim around image leaving a white border.
    6. Adhere Spring Bunny with foam adhesive to card base.
Classic Variation: Try a more uniform background by using a single color for the Texture Newsprint stamp, stencil in a complementary color over the complete image and then add a single stamped sentiment near the tied twine.

I hope you are enjoying some crafting time today that includes a little bit of sunshine peeking in your window too!

Remember to shop with code TJ10Janelle for a 10% discount!

    If I had a flower

    Hello friends! Giovana here today.
Hope you all are having an amazing day!

For today's project I used one of the sayings part of the new, just released "In Full Bloom Sentiments

First, I created a background piece on watercolor paper with Tangerine Color Burst Powders, set aside to dry.
Once your piece is dry, stamp sentiment in Chocolate Ink, do not remove your stamp from Misti.
Use Lace Close-Up Stencil and add white pigment Ink, then put your panel back on your Misti and stamp sentiment again until you get the perfect and dark impression you want.
Position your stencil back on sentiment and add Clear Embossing Paste, this will give your panel a shiny look.

Stencil front of white card with Lace Close-Up Stencil in Tangelo Memento Ink.

Add sentiment on card using foam adhesive.

You can get these products with a 10% discount using my code TJ10Giovana.

    Have a wonderful day!!
