Puppies in Love

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  My favorite stamp of 2023 is this adorable Puppy Love from Technique Junkies.  Who can resist those sweet little faces???

I made this clean and simple card by stamping the Puppy Love with a black hybrid ink onto some smooth white cardstock.  I randomly picked one of the puppies and colored it with blue Copic markers and the heart with a red Copic marker.  The sentiment is from the Inside Out: Love is in the Air set.  I stamped that and added a red mat and then adhered it next to my colored puppy.  Then I adhered the panel to a red card base.

How cute is that?  I'm all set for my anniversary card to my hubby this year!  :-)

Glittery Puppy Love

Hi Junkies, it's Holly posting today.  I absolutely love this new Puppy Love background stamp from Technique Junkies!  It's so cute!  Those puppies holding those hearts just makes me melt!

I stamped the Puppy Love with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock and let it dry.  Meanwhile, I partially inked up the sentiment from the Inside Out: Love is in the Air set and stamped it onto white cardstock.  The sentiment actually says "I Love You More Than Coffee," but I only inked up the "I Love You" portion.

I trimmed down the sentiment, and then cut another layer slightly larger from white cardstock.  I pulled out this Blushing Carmine glitter marker and colored up this layer before adhering it behind the sentiment.  Then I trimmed some black cardstock to layer behind this glittery sentiment.

When the Puppy Love panel was completely dry, I used the Blushing Carmine and the Golden Ochre glitter markers to color in the hearts.  It's so sparkly!  Then I used the Blushing Carmine glitter marker to color the edges of a white cardstock layer to go behind the Puppy Love panel before I glued it all to a black card base.

You can use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You can find the Puppy Love stamp HERE and the Inside Out: Love is in the Air set HERE.  The two colors of glitter markers that I used are out of stock, but there are some other colors HERE.  Have fun shopping!

All About Love Shaker Card

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  It's crazy to think that Valentine's Day is coming up next month.  Time just seems to be flying by!  I have a really cute shaker card to share with you today that would be perfect for giving to a loved one.

I used the new All About Love background stamp from Technique Junkies and embossed it with a sparkly white powder onto some pink cardstock.  Then I placed some clear packaging plastic over this panel and taped three of the plastic edges onto the back, leaving one end open.  I poured some fun pink, red, white, clear, and silver sequins into the open end over the front of the embossed panel, and then taped the plastic end to the back of the panel.  With the shaker panel complete, I glued this to a white card base.  Next, I die cut some white hearts and glued them to the front of the shaker card.  I added some sequins to some of the hearts and wrote a note on the inside of the card.

Technique Junkies released some great new stamps that are perfect for Valentine's Day and for weddings and anniversaries.  Check out the new release stamps HERE.  You can find the All About Love background stamp HERE.  Don't forget to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% off your order.  Have a wonderful day!

Snowflakes on a Diagonal

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  Do you have snow outside your window right now?  I don't have any yet, but we do have some freezing cold weather coming our way later on this week.  I'm ready to hunker down and enjoy some hot cocoa and snuggle under a blanket.

I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets from Technique Junkies called Snowflakes and played around with them.  On a white card base, I blended some pale blue ink in the upper left corner.  Then I randomly stamped the different snowflakes in different colors in a diagonal line.  I left just enough white space on the bottom half of the card so I could stamp the sentiment.  Both the snowflakes and the sentiment are from the Snowflakes set.

Today (Sunday, Dec. 18) is the last day of the big sale at Technique Junkies.  Some of the stamps have sold out, so grab the ones on your wish list before they are gone.  You can use my code, TJ10Holly, to save an additional 10% on the already discounted prices.  My code will also save you 10% off all of the regular priced stamps as well, such as the Snowflakes set that I used on the card above.  Have fun shopping and have a wonderful day!

Trust Yourself with Copper Dragonflies

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  I've been looking through all the great stamps on sale at Technique Junkies, and I pulled out a couple of them to play with and created this card for you.  I love this Leaves and Dragonflies background stamp, so I embossed it with copper and then watercolored over it with some deep blue and some golden yellow paints.  While the paints were still wet, I sprayed some Worn Saddle Shimmering Bliss over the whole thing.  The Shimmering Bliss spray warmed up the colors in the background and there is a gorgeous subtle shimmery-ness all around the copper leaves and dragonflies.  The sentiment is from the great Things I Want to Do set.

Both of these stamps are part of the Inventory Reduction sale and you can get them for 40% off.  If you use my code, TJ10Holly, you will get an additional 10% off the discounted price.  You don't want to miss out on this deal!  There are hundreds of stamps in this sale, so go check them out HERE.  Just remember to add the code, TJ10Holly, to get the extra 10% off.

Trio of Tea Time Cards

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  I'm taking a break from Christmas cards today so I can share these cards that I created with the gorgeous new Tea Collage stamp from Technique Junkies.  I've done these in three different ways to show the versatility of this great background stamp.

On the brown monochromatic card above, I stamped the Tea Collage with a cinnamon ink onto some cinnamon cardstock.  I then blended some cinnamon ink around the edges so it looks like the cup of tea is glowing in the middle.  Then I stamped this Tea Collage again onto some white cardstock and cut out the tea bag.  This sentiment from the Typewriter Set fits perfectly onto the tea bag, so I stamped it in a darker brown ink and then adhered this to the card.

For the ombre card below, I stamped the Tea Collage with black ink onto some white cardstock.  After the ink dried, I started blending some distress inks onto the panel to get that gorgeous yellow/orange/brown ombre background.  I chose these colors because I was thinking of lemons (yellow), honey (orange), and tea (brown).

For my third card, I went completely outside the box.  I had been watching The Golden Girls on tv and I was in that nostalgic vintage-y mood, so I colored this Tea Collage with some muted greens and oranges and browns.  The cinnamon sticks are bolder than the rest of the card because I wanted to bring your eye up to the sentiment, which is from the Butter My Butt set.

I hope you enjoyed these Tea Time cards.  This stamp is so well illustrated and this red rubber stamps beautifully.  If you'd like to save some money when you go shopping for this Tea Collage stamp, please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly.  There's so many great stamps at Technique Junkies, and you can also shop for ink pads, Shimmering Bliss sprays, stencils, and more.  Have fun!

Winter Gnome Shaker

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I've got a fun winter shaker card for y'all today.  I used some stamps from Technique Junkies and lots of sequins to create this infinity shaker card.  I started by stamping the the new All About Winter background in blue ink onto some white cardstock.  Then I pulled out the sentiment from the Let's Chill set and stamped it with the same blue ink onto another piece of white cardstock.

I stamped the gnome from the Gnome for Christmas set with a black Copic-friendly ink and let it dry for a few minutes before I colored it.  I colored the gnome in shades of blue to go with the sequins and the blue sentiments.

To make the infinity shaker, I put double sided adhesive on all four sides of the back of the stamped background panel.  I cut some plastic from a discarded package and adhered it to three of the adhesive edges, leaving one edge open.  With that one end opened, I poured in some sequins, and then I taped that edge shut.  I added more adhesive to the back of this shaker panel and adhered it to a white card base.

With the shaker card part done, I trimmed down the "Let's Chill" sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card.  I fussy cut the gnome and adhered him next to the sentiment on the front of the shaker card.  All that's left to do is write something on the inside of the card and mail it off to a dear friend.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  Check out all the great new stamps HERE and have fun shopping!

Santa Shaker Card

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I have a fun shaker card to share with y'all today.  I used the beautiful new Classic Santa stamp from Technique Junkies and stamped it with red ink onto some white cardstock.  Then I cut down some clear packaging and taped three sides onto the back of the Santa panel.  With one side left open, I poured some sequins into the front of the Santa panel and then taped the last edge to the back to create the shaker piece.  I die cut some letters from black cardstock to create the fun sentiment - Ho Ho Ho.  After I glued the letters down, I adhered the shaker panel to some black cardstock and then to a red card base.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You will save 10% off your entire order, so grab this Classic Santa and check out the rest of the great Christmas stamps from this month's release HERE.  Have a wonderful day!

Pink and Green Christmas

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I have a fun pink and green Christmas card to share with y'all.  I thought I'd change it up and use a bright pink and green color combo instead of a traditional red and green.  That pink just makes me smile!

I stamped the new Embellished Merry Christmas stamp from Technique Junkies with a bright green ink and then added a bright green card layer behind this.  Next, I pulled out the Snowflakes set and randomly stamped some snowflakes in pink and green all over a white card panel.  I adhered this snowflakes panel to a bright pink card base, wrapped some pink and white baker's twine around the card, and then added the green Christmas sentiment over the twine with some foam tape.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% when you shop at Technique Junkies.  Check out all the great new Christmas stamps in this month's release HERE.  Don't forget the Shimmering Bliss, the new Catherine Pooler ink pads, and the great selection of stencils.  Have a wonderful day!

Misty Trees Believe

Good morning!  Have you started on your Christmas cards?  I've got a pretty good start on mine, and one of them is today's card that I created with stamps from Technique Junkies.

I love the Misty Trees stamp, and when I saw the new Believe stamp, I just knew they would be perfect together.  I stamped the Misty Trees with a soft green ink onto white cardstock, and then I stamped the Believe with a dark evergreen ink.  It's hard to tell, but I added some iridescent gems to the stars in the sentiment.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You can grab these two stamps that I used today, Misty Trees and Believe, and you can stock up on some more Christmas stamps from this month's release HERE.  Have a wonderful day!

Grateful Leaves Trio

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I have a fun card to share with you.  These new Grateful Leaves from Technique Junkies have the words carved into the stamps, so I stamped all three of them with a rustic purple ink and then cut them out with scissors.  I used the same ink to stamp the Distressed Paint background, and then I arranged the leaves and adhered them with foam tape.  I love this Distressed Paint stamp - it goes with just about anything when you want that crackled, distressed, woodgrain-ish look.  The final touch was some sheer ribbon wrapped around the top as an elegant contrast to the distressed background.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You'll save 10% off your order, so check out the Grateful Leaves and the Distressed Paint stamps.  You can see all of the September release stamps HERE and you can check out the newest Diamond Dragonflies Kit HERE.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Box of Crayon Leaves

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  It alllllmost feels like fall here, because the mornings are just a tiny bit cooler and crisper than they have been over the past four months.  We are still in the 90's in the afternoons, so it's not quite there yet, but I do think there is some hope for some cool fall weather on the horizon.  So with that in mind, I had a lot of fun with today's card.

I stamped the new Leaves background from Technique Junkies with a dark brown permanent ink onto some white cardstock and let it dry.  Then I had a blast watercoloring the leaves in various shades of yellow, orange, red, green, and magenta.  While this was drying, I stamped the sentiment from the Autumn set (Technique Junkies) with the same dark brown ink I used for the background.  That sentiment says it all, and it really does look like I used all the crayons in the box to color those leaves, doesn't it?  LOL

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You'll save 10% off your entire order, so grab this beautiful new Leaves Background stamp and check out all the great fall stamps from this month's release HERE.  Have a great day!

Dotted Branches for Fall and Winter

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  Is it fall where you live yet?  We are finally out of the 100's, but with the temps in the 90's here, it's not quite fall yet.  LOL  Hopefully we will see some cool temps before the end of the month!

I love the new fall stamps from Technique Junkies that were released this month.  I paired the Dotted Branches with the Pumpkin Spice sentiment for this autumnal pumpkin-y card above.  Some dark brown ink brushed on the edges gives the sentiment and the background a warm glow.

While I was playing with the Dotted Branches, I started wondering how it would look on a winter card.  I stamped it with Versamark onto some gold paper and then covered it with gold embossing powder.  After I tapped off the excess and melted the powder with a heat tool, I set it aside to cool off.  I stamped the Joyeux Noel with a deep merlot ink and matted it with gold and merlot cardstocks.  The gold Dotted Branches panel was adhered to a merlot card base and then I adhered the sentiment to the background.

I love how this Dotted Branches looks on this gold cardstock!  Now I have a background stamp that is perfect for the fall season as well as the winter/holiday season.  If you'd like to shop at Technique Junkies and pick up this Dotted Branches stamp, you can use this code, TJ10Holly, to help you save 10% off your order.  You can also grab the Pumpkin Spice stamp and the Joyeux Noel stamp and make some quick cards to send to your friends and family.

All About Autumn - 2 versions

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  This new stamp from Technique Junkies, called All About Autumn, lists all the wonderful things that we love about the fall season.  This is a full A2 background stamp, 5.5" x 4.25", and I've got two different versions to share with you today.

For my first card above, I stamped All About Autumn with Versamark, covered it with copper embossing powder, and melted the powder.  Then I brushed on several colors of distress inks in an ombre pattern with the yellow on top and the deep red at the bottom.

For my second card, I inked up the All About Autumn stamp with the various ombre colors and pressed it onto white cardstock.  Then I taped some clear plastic over the stamped image and filled it with sequins to make it a shaker card.

Which version do you like best, the copper ombre card or the ombre shaker card?  This All About Autumn stamp is on sale at 15% off until September 8, and you can use my code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% off everything else in the Technique Junkies store.  Check out all the fantastic stamps, stencils, and Shimmering Bliss sprays, and have a wonderful day!

Vintage Old Friend

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  Did you see all the great new vintage stamps from Technique Junkies this month?  I've used three of them on this card today, but I used some very non-vintage colors for the background.

I stamped the beautiful new Vintage French Advertisements background with some permanent black ink and let it dry.  I also stamped the sentiment from the You're Vintage set with the same black ink and let it dry.  I pulled out some distress inks (Wild Honey, Cracked Pistachio, and Salvaged Patina) and randomly brushed them on over the background.  Then I sprayed some water into my hand and flicked it over the background.

I punched out some butterflies from white cardstock and stamped them with some of the stamps from the Grunge Circles set using the Wild Honey distress ink.  I also brushed some of that honey ink onto the edges of the butterfly wings.  Then I adhered the sentiment and the butterflies to the background and added some black pearls to the centers of the butterflies.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You'll save 10% off your order, so stock up on some of the new stamps, the gorgeous Shimmering Bliss sprays, stencils, ink pads, and glitter pens.  Have a wonderful day!

Never Too Old

Good morning!  It's Holly posting, and here's a fun snarky card to put a smile on your face today!  LOL

I stamped the gorgeous Side Hat from Technique Junkies onto some white cardstock, but I masked off the lips before I pressed the black inkpad onto the stamp.  I took the mask off, stamped the black areas first, and cleaned the stamp.  Then I masked off the hat and the face/shoulder and inked up the lips with a red ink, took the masks off, and stamped the lips.  This Inappropriate sentiment was the perfect size to fit into the leftover space after I stamped the lady.  Don't you just love that?  LOL

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You will save 10% off your order, so check out the great stamps, the stencils, the Catherine Pooler ink pads, and the gorgeous Shimmering Bliss sprays.  There's a lot of fun stuff to play with!  Have a wonderful day!

Grunge Circle Butterflies

Good morning!  It's Holly posting and I have another grunge-y, vintage-y card to share with you today.  I love the new vintage stamps that Technique Junkies just released, and it's been fun to get these inky.  On this soft pink card, I stamped the new Distressed Paint background with a dark brown permanent ink onto some white cardstock and let it dry.  Then I brushed on some Antique Linen and Tattered Rose distress inks all over the background.

While I had the Tattered Rose distress ink out, I brushed it onto some scrap white cardstock.  After that was dry, I used some Martha Stewart punches to punch out the butterflies.  I also punched out some butterflies from vellum, and then glued the vellum butterflies on top of their respective rose-colored butterflies.  I added some ivory pearls to the centers of the butterflies and set them aside.

Next, I stamped three of the new Grunge Circles with the same dark brown permanent ink and let them dry.  Then I brushed on some Frayed Burlap distress ink and cut out all three circles.  I glued the circles to the background and then added the butterflies.

I love how this one turned out.  Soft, pretty, and vintage-y!  Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save when you shop at Technique Junkies.  Have a great day!

Glazed Vintage Trio

Good morning!  It's Holly posting and I have a fun trio of vintage cards to share with you today.  Technique Junkies just released some great new vintage stamps, and I used several of those to create this set of cards.  After I stamped the backgrounds and the sentiments, I covered all of them with embossing glaze for that vintage effect.  I used three different colors of glaze - Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, and Speckled Egg.  I love this combination of colors against the dark brown images.

On this first card, I used the new Distressed Paint stamp and a sentiment from the You're Vintage set.  I actually did the initial glazing and then went back over it and spread some more of the Antique Linen around the edges and then applied some extra Walnut Stain glaze on the edges of the sentiment.  This card has a richer coloring than the other two because of the extra glazing.

On this card, I used the Vintage French Advertisements and another sentiment from the You're Vintage set.  I only did one layer of the glazes on this card so it is softer compared to the first card.

On this last card, I used the Victorian Collage stamp with a sentiment from the new Queenagers set.  On this one, I only used the Speckled Egg glaze on the sentiment to make it stand out from the background.

It is fun to see how each card looks a little different even though I used the same products on each one.  If you'd like to go shopping at Technique Junkies, please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly.  All of the stamps I used today are actually on sale at 15% off through August 8 and you don't need a code for that.  The TJ10Holly code will save you 10% off everything else that is in the store.  Have a great day!

A Best Friend - Two Ways

Good morning, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today.  I love this stamp from Technique Junkies called A Best Friend.  This is a single stamp so the flower and the sentiment are together as one stamp.  I inked this up with a permanent black ink and stamped it on white cardstock and let it dry.  Then I colored the flowers with Copic markers and brushed the edges of the white cardstock with some soft brown ink.

If you wanted to try something different, mask off the words and stamp the flower by itself.  Then clean the stamp, mask off the flower, and stamp the words over the previously stamped flower.  That's what I did on this blue floral card below.

If you're really brave, you could cut the two images apart, but I'm not that brave.  LOL!  By masking off one side or the other, I can retain the original stamp but have the flexibility to just stamp the flowers  or the sentiment.  I think I might need to buy another A Best Friend stamp just so I can cut it apart.  :-)

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save when you shop at Technique Junkies.  Be sure to check out all the gorgeous Shimmering Bliss sprays, the Catherine Pooler ink pads, and the huge selection of stencils along with the fabulous Technique Junkies stamps.  Happy shopping!

Drifting in a Rowboat

Good morning!  It's Holly posting and today I'm sharing this sweet scenic card that I created with Technique Junkies stamps.  I stamped the At The River with a black dye ink and then colored it with Copic markers.  The sentiment, from the My Dear Friend set, is stamped with black ink at the bottom.

I love this sweet little scene.  Those flowers really pop against the pale blue of the river and those sweet cattails breaking out of the circle just captured my heart.  Can you just see yourself sitting in that little rowboat drifting along, enjoying the peace and quiet?

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You can save money on your stamps, stencils, and Shimmering Bliss when you use the code at checkout.  Have a wonderful day!
