Hello everyone and Happy C-A-T-turday!! Today's card uses Flussy Cats and The Best Therapist. Both of these stamps are part of the February 2024 New Release, and 15% off through February 8th.
Let me tell you...when I first saw the Fluffy Cats stamp, the first thing I saw was a Tic-Tac-Toe board in the center. While that idea was festering in my brain, I found a baggie of Scrabble tiles I had bought years ago on Etsy, which is how this idea came to me.
The Scrabble tiles I used on this card were bought years ago from someone on Etsy, which is no longer around. You can search on Ebay and Etsy for Scrabble Tiles. You can also look around in 2nd hand stores or flea markets for the game and use the tiles.
- I started with a 5.75" square card using blue cardstock.
- I used one of the designs from the I Love My Cat Collection from Echo Park, trimmed it to a 5.5" square, and adhered it to my card front.
- I stamped Fluffy Cats using black ink on white cardstock, used a 2 7/8" square die to cut the center, layered it on a piece of blue cardstock, and then the card front.
- I adhered the Scrabble letters C, A, and T to the card front.
- Lastly, I cut a 5.5" square piece of white cardstock, stamped The Best Therapist in the lower right corner, and adhered it to the inside of the card leaving space for a message.
Done! Such a fast, fun, and easy card to make for the cat-lover in your life. I'd love to know what you think of this idea - using Scrabble tiles on a card. Leave a comment below.
