Dylusions Die Cut

Hello, Beth Norman here today with the Technique of the Week--Dylusions Die Cuts.  I didn't have any Dylusions and I've been wanting them because the colours are so vibrant, so when this technique came out I went right to town and bought four colours.

My die is from Impression Obsession, and the verse is from Verve Stamps.

As I sit here the snow is gently falling to a total of about 7 inches.  It certainly put me into the Christmas spirit; I baked sugar cookies and will decorate them with pretty coloured icing and sprinkles.  My shopping has been done and wrapped for the last six weeks and my baking is almost done.  It's nice to be ahead of the game this year.  I even made 50 cards and got them all mailed out in late November.  How are you coming along?

Have a happy holiday season.

Cute little Snowman

I was super blessed when a friend let me borrow her Die/folder.  It created this darling snowman where I used a morphed technique called Sanded Core'dinations from 4/2010.  The morphed part is that the paper I used for the snowman is throw away paper that a friend gave me.  It is like the board on the back of a pad of paper but it has one side that is coated white.  Worked perfectly for this!!  I had a cute little snowflake punch (one of those cheap thumb ones) but it would NOT punch through the beautiful paper I had from Paper Temptress (swirly and pearl)......so.......I made a small snowflake and cut it out with my Silhouette cutter.  To make this die into a card, I folded regular white card stock and held the fold line down from the top of the snowman.  I then adhered the die cut/embossed snowman over the card.  Voila!

I hope that all of you have a Blessed Christmas!
