Happy Thursday Junkies! Pam here today to share another project featuring the fun and fantastic TJ January releases-and just in time for Valentine's Day.

Today's project features 2 of the January sets:

Love and Poison 

Messy Love

The Messy Love background was created as a resist using Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper and Archival ink.  This is a super fun technique that is featured by Tim Holtz in Creative Chemistry 3. I love how it gives that "negative" effect.

The Love and Potion set pairs well with this background and was stamped with Versafine black and clear heat embossed.

Hope you enjoyed today's project and that it provides a bit of inspiration for your Valentine's cards.

Kindness Matters

Happy Thursday Junkies, Pam here today! We are approaching  the end of 2016 and ready  to ring in the New Year!

I want to share a project today that I feel is a great sentiment for all to start the New Year with: Kindness Matters

This card features the Kindness Matters sentiment atop a background created with the Curved Bamboo stamp. The bamboo was stamped with a green dye ink after creating the stencil mono print as a base layer. 

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Black ink atop a piece of the matching background-trimmed to a circle.

Christmas Note Cards

Morning Junkies, Pam here today! Well Christmas is only 10 days away. I hope you have enjoyed the Design Team's inspiration for the 30 days of Christmas!

Today I am sharing a couple of Christmas Notecards that I created using the Christmas Trees stamp set as well as the Date-o-Matic and Merry Christmas sentiment (Simple Sentiments 1b).

I love these Scribbly Christmas trees and there are 6 different styles in the set.

You could add a sentiment to the front but I liked the plain look for a simple Christmas notecard.

 Using a different style tree I created this background for a note card and added the Date-O-Matic and a Merry Christmas sentiment.

Layered Swirls, Christmas and Birthday FUN!

Greetings Inky Friends!

Here's the last card in my own little personal series of using

the Layered Swirls background stamp!

I created the background using the Polished Stone technique

with alcohol inks and blending solution and inked the back ground stamp

with Black Archival ink and stamped on top.

The polished stone piece that Trust Your Journey is stamped on was a 2nd or 3rd generation of the original inking of the background piece! 

I added some Rhinestones to selected area of the Background and called it complete!

I love the jewel-tones colors in this card!

Here's a couple Christmas cards I did at the last crop I hosted....

I used one of my favorite background stamp Swaths of Texture and applied Distress Stains directly to the stamp in a couple reds and silver.  I added red and clear Stickles to the Red or White Christmas wine glasses for added sparkle and shimmer.

I was able to get a second impression from the same stains/background image and decided to create a birthday card using the versatile set Grand Greetings for an OSU loving friend.

The last card I simple covered a piece of card stock with different washing tapes and added the adorable Christmas Carol Kitty to the front. I colored him using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Witchy Moon

Happy Thursday Junkies! Pam here today.  It's that spooky time of year, my favorite time of year for creating projects!  I just love the combination of colors that this time of year conjures up: oranges, yellows, blacks and purples.  

So of course today's card features two especially "spooky" Technique Junkies stamps:

Witchy Moon

and

Spider Webs

In order to get this fantastic Witch image on the forefront of this fun background, I first stamped the Witchy Moon and then covered it with Masking fluid.  Then I created the spooky sky background with Distress inks and a blending tool, spritzed a bit of water atop for added dimension.  Then finally I stamped the Spider Webs background stamp over top, removed the masking fluid and colored the moon.

At the Lake...

Good morning Junkies! I have a great project to share with you today using the stamp set Better at the Lake.  I decided to take one of the elements in the set, the anchor, and make a "patterned paper" like background-a great way to stretch your stamps.

All images were stamped with Versafine black and covered with clear embossing powder. The really fun part was coloring the anchors!
